A movable workstation comprising at least one work plane; a base assembly, said work plane being supported by said base assembly, said base assembly comprising wheels for resting said movable work station on a floor and for moving said workstation along said floor; wherein said base assembly comprises: a support structure comprising a bearing structure adapted to be rested on the floor and a upright structure connected to, and interposed between, said rest structure and said at least one work plane; at least one container supported to said base assembly; and wherein at least one of the at least one work plane is constrained to said upright structure in a translatable manner with respect to said base assembly according to one plane parallel to said at least one of the at least one work plane.

An equipped work unit for domestic use convertible between open and closed configurations has a support frame resting on a treadable surface, and an L-shaped wall having a first upper wall and a front wall and connected to the support frame. A pedestal for a conference table or other furniture has a shell having an opening, and a rack for electronic equipment mounted within the opening. The rack is pivotable about a vertical axis between a stowed position in which the rack is entirely within the pedestal and an access position in which the rack is largely outside the pedestal.

A holder for a personal computer that is utilized in a vehicle. The holder includes a tray support device rigidly mounted to the vehicle framing. A tray is slidingly connected to the tray support device. A tilt device holds the tray at a downward tilt for improved viewing. When the holder is closed the tray is retained within the tray support device. When the holder is opened the tray is tilted downward and the tray is supported by the tilt device. In a preferred embodiment, the vehicle is an aircraft and the vehicle framing is aircraft instrument panel framing. In a preferred embodiment, the holder is installed within an avionics stack. Also, in a preferred embodiment the personal computer is a touch screen tablet personal computer.
