An interactive electronic table tennis game is provided that has a table having first and second table portions that are foldable. There are first and second table portions that are structurally the same, and the second table portion has a flat top that is made of a hard material that is clear, transparent, or translucent such that light can pass through the hard material. The flat top is mounted on a frame that defines a plurality of compartments and lights or light emitting diodes that are positioned in the compartments. The frame also supports electronics. The electronics have audio pickups, converter microcontrollers, and a table tennis game computer. When a ball hits the first and second table portions light is emitted by the LEDs in that compartment. This makes the interactive electronic table tennis game fun to play and fun to watch, because everyone can see where the ball impacts.

An exemplary embellishment is configured for use with sports or recreational equipment having a flat/planar surface. The embellishment is in the form of a planar sheet including a front surface and a rear surface opposite the front surface. The planar sheet is sized and shaped to correspond to a size and shape of the planar surface of the equipment. The front surface comprises at least one ornamental marking and/or at least one functional marking. Each functional marking relates to performance of a sport or recreational activity corresponding to the equipment. The rear surface has disposed thereon an adhesive configured to removably secure the planar sheet to the planar surface.

A ball holder for a table tennis table designed for non-intrusive mounting under a corner of a table tennis table. The ball holder can be manufactured in two parts for ease of sale and construction, with the two halves being easily assembled and secured by the user. The two halves can connect using a set of male and female tabs, and secure using a set of bolts. The full assembly can attach to the table tennis table through the use of four screws. Properly assembled, the ball holder can contain multiple table tennis balls in an easily accessible position, but without obstructing the players' range of motion or creating a hazard.
