Selective access device for a picking/depositing station in a warehouse, and picking/depositing station provided with such selective access device

A selective access device for a picking/depositing station in warehouse defines an access area engaged by a first cover that is defined by a pair of movable plane surfaces parallel or coplanar to one another; these plane surfaces are slidable along a first rectilinear axis under the action of a movement system so as to open/close a first opening; in the access area, there is provided a second cover above the first cover, to define a second opening aligned with the first opening; the second cover consists of a plurality of doors, each rotating about a relative rotation axis in respect to the first cover; the doors are arranged side-by-side along a second rectilinear axis, orthogonal to the first axis and are closed by respective locks, while the rotation axes are parallel to this second axis.

Systems and methods for automatically reconfiguring a building structure

Techniques for automatically modulating a physical configuration of a reconfigurable building structure. A reconfigurable building structure may be constructed of physical elements that are movable with respect to one another to facilitate actuating the reconfigurable building structure between a plurality of different physical configurations. The physical configuration of a reconfigurable building structure may be adjusted to accommodate for physical dimensions of an item that is going to be moved into the reconfigurable building structure. For example, a spacing between two shelves may be expanded in response to an order being placed for a large item. In this way, when the item is delivered to a physical address associated with the reconfigurable building structure, various physical characteristics of the reconfigurable building structure may have already been modulated to accept the item.

A STORAGE SYSTEM
20220340362 · 2022-10-27 ·

It is described a storage system with a number of storage racks that can be moved sideways, on rails (4) in the floor. The racks are mounted on support frames (1). Each support frame (1) is rectangular with at least two first support elements (7) lying along a first rail (4) and are telescopically connected by connecting tubes (8), and at least two other support elements (7) lying along a second rail (4) and are telescopically connected by connecting tubes (8), wherein the support elements (7) are further connected by telescopic shelf tubes (16) extending across the rails (4), and each storage shelf consists of vertical wall tubes (15) connected together by horizontal wall coupling tubes (18) and horizontal telescopic shelf tubes (16), the wall tubes (15), the wall coupling tubes (18) and the shelf tubes (16) being connected to tube holders (17a-c) which can be mounted in an optional position along the vertical wall tubes (15) and where the distance between the wall tubes (15) can be telescopically adjusted.

Mobile storage system with elevated platform

A movable storage assembly has first and second mobile storage units that are selectively movable towards and away from one another and are equipped with a deployable and retractable (or installable and removable) platform to facilitate access to upper regions of the storage units. The platform is movably coupled to one of the mobile storage units and can be repositioned between a deployed or installed position in which the platform interlocks the first storage unit to the second storage forming an elevated walking or standing surface therebetween, and a retracted or removed position in which the platform is partially disconnected to allow the first mobile storage unit to move independently and into close proximity with the second mobile storage unit.
