PIVOTING SHELF GUARD
20170224114 · 2017-08-10 ·

A shelf guard comprises a guard pivotable about a pivot point and a support configured to secure the guard to a shelf. The guard rotates between a first and a second position. In the first position, the guard allows access to the shelf and is balanced in a stationary position. In the second position, the guard prevents items from falling off the shelf. The guard's pivot point can be offset from the back of the shelf. The guard can rotate through an arc of more than 90° between the first and second positions.

Rotatable shelf illumination system

A rotatable shelf illumination system may include a rotatable shelf having a groove in which one or more light sources may be mounted. A refractive lens may be mounted in the groove covering the one or more light sources. The rotatable shelf may be, for example, a lazy susan. A removeable and rechargeable power supply may be controlled by a controller circuitry to selectively energize the one or more light sources when rotation of the rotatable shelf is detected. A magnetic field sensor may be used with the controller circuitry to detect rotational movement of the rotatable shelf. The controller circuitry may implement energy conservation measures to prolong the charge of the rechargeable power supply.

An under the cabinet knife storage unit with a knife storage board with a planar top surface and a number of inlaid neodymium disk-shaped magnets that act as contact points for removable PLA brackets; removable PLA (or equivalent material) brackets with inlaid neodymium disk-shaped magnets; and a mounting bracket arrangement for mounting the knife storage board under a kitchen cabinet. The mounting bracket arrangement alternating between an extended position for the knife storage board and a retracted position for the knife storage board. The extended position being at least four inches forward of the retracted position. In the extended position, the knife storage board lies at an angle of between 15 degrees and 60 degrees from the knife storage board in the retracted position.

Expendable service surface device

Examples provide a height adjustable tray including a service surface for moving one or more items from a first height near the top of a display case down to a lower height within reach of a user in a seated position or otherwise unable to reach a top surface of the display case. The tray is connected to a set of one or more support arms. A gearing mechanism moves the set of support arms along a range of motion to lower the tray from the first height near the top of the display case to a position in front of the display case at a second height. The tray remains in a horizontal orientation substantially parallel to the floor or ground surface as the tray moves through the range of motion. An operating mechanism controls movement of the tray along the range of motion.

A hanger bar for mounting a hanging file folder on a pair of support rails includes a body having a top, a bottom, and opposite longitudinal ends. The body includes a first section having a length extending longitudinally across the body and a height extending from the top of the body toward the bottom of the body. A second section has a length extending longitudinally across the body and a height extending from the first section of the body toward the bottom of the body. A third section has a length extending longitudinally across the body and a height extending from the second section of the body to the bottom of the body. The first section is angled with respect to a vertical axis when the body is positioned in a vertical orientation.

Carts with shelves

A cart for transporting objects has a base and a first end wall and an opposite second end wall extending from the base. A sidewall extends from the base and between the end walls such that the base, the first end wall, the second end wall, and the sidewall define an interior space of the cart. A hinge couples a door to the first end wall such that the door can be pivoted into different positions. One or more arms extend into the interior space to support and retain objects therein.

Reconfigurable workspace

The invention is a reconfigurable workspace. The workspace is compact in order to keep components of the workspace within an arm's reach while standing in a fixed location. The workspace is made up of two rectangular housings, preferably of the same compact size and shape. The first housing has at least a sink and a counter space, though it could have other appliances. The second housing has a circulating storage system, preferably an automated storage and retrieval system that delivers items to a convenient access point. The two housings are repositionable in relation to each other along a fixed path. An apparatus such as a hinge or a set of tracks repositions the housings in relation to each other along the fixed path.

A document storage system for removably storing individual documents. A shelved cabinet has a track receptacle mounted to the lower shelf surface adjacent the cabinet front. The track receptacle has a plurality of tracks extending from the cabinet front to the cabinet rear. Each track has an open slot extending from the front to the rear of the cabinet. The track also has a rearwardly extending lip providing a rearwardly directed open notch. The cabinet further includes a back with an inner surface and a pair of ohmic conductors mounted on the inner surface and extending laterally thereof. An electronically searchable flexible file folder has a thin main body portion and a header secured to the top of the main body portion. The header is dimensioned to be removably received in any track of the track receptacle with the main body portion slidably received in the slot. The header portion has visible indicator mounted on a first end; and a latch pawl located on the first end engageable with the notch when the file folder is installed in the track. A pair of probe pins is mounted on the other end of the header and are engageable with the pair of ohmic conductors when the file folder is installed in a track.
