A box is made of structural boards having a face plate (2) including a main body portion (2c) that is substantially in one plane and a peripheral portion (2a) surrounding the main body. The boards further include a base plate (3) having integrally formed protrusions. The lower surface of the face plate (2) is attached to and supported on top of the protrusions. A stiffener (4) connects the peripheral portion (2a) of the face plate (2) and the base plate (3) together. At least a part of the stiffener (4) is fixedly connected to the base plate (3), and at least another part of the stiffener (4) is fixedly connected to at least a part of a lower surface of the peripheral portion (2a) of the face plate.

A structural board comprises a surface board and a bottom board. The bottom board comprises a first supporting surface and a second supporting surface, and the surface board is fixedly connected on the second supporting surface. The bottom board comprises a plurality of protruding cavities spaced apart from one another. Two end surfaces of each of the plurality of protruding cavities along a protruding direction of the plurality of protruding cavities respectively defines the first supporting surface and the second supporting surface. A laminate countertop with a curved edge profile includes a base support including a synthetic polymer material. The synthetic polymer material can be a closed-cell polymer foam. The base support includes a top surface, a bottom surface, opposing longitudinal sides, at least one of which comprises the curved edge profile, and opposing latitudinal sides. The countertop also includes a laminate cover formed from a cured resin material adhered to and covering at least a portion of the top surface and at least a portion of the curved edge profile of the base support. A method for forming the laminate countertop includes steps of providing the base support and adhering the laminate cover over at least a portion of the top surface and a portion of the curved edge profile of the base support.

The invention relates to an edge strip (1) for fixing to a workpiece, in particular for the narrow surface coating of furniture boards, worktops, or similar material boards (2), having a base layer (3) of a thermoplastic, the upper side (3a) of which is structured, and a covering layer (4) of a transparent or translucent thermoplastic which is arranged on the base layer (3), wherein the upper side (4a) of the covering layer (4) completely or partly forms the visible face of the edge strip and the underside (4b) of said covering layer (4) completely or partly adjoins the profiled upper side (3a) of the base layer (3).

A composite structural board is disclosed, which comprises a face plate (2), the face plate (2) having a main body portion (2c) that is substantially in one plane and a peripheral portion (2a) surround the main body portion formed by bending the main body portion downwards, the face plate (2) having an upper surface and a lower surface; the board further comprising a base plate (3) provided with a plurality of substantially uniformly distributed and integrally formed protrusions, the lower surface of the face plate (2) being attached to and supported on top faces of the protrusions; and the board further comprising a stiffener (4) for fixedly connecting the peripheral portion (2a) of the face plate (2) and the base plate (3) together, wherein at least a part of the stiffener (4) is fixedly connected to the base plate (3), and at least another part of the stiffener (4) is fixedly connected to at least a part of a lower surface of the peripheral portion (2a) of the face plate. With the above-described structure, the strength of the composite structural board can be further increased while the number of components is reduced, and the production costs are greatly lowered.

A furniture construction method comprising cementitious sheets for a layered method of adhering various layers of cementitious board to form a solid waterproof piece of furniture with the cementitious layers. These layers of cementitious sheets form a laminate which has structural integrity to provide for vertical members of support for horizontal members comprising a piece of furniture.

A method of constructing said laminate is to apply water submersible laminating glue to cementitious board, after cutting cementitious board to desired size and cure for 6 hours. Next is to trim said laminate to final size requirements. A coat of epoxy is applied to all surfaces.

Cementitious boards are mainly cement bonded particle boards and cement fiber. There are various types of cementitious boards that are included in the present disclosure for the construction of furniture and other similar construction.

A laminated countertop assembly can include a first generally longitudinal slab with a first substrate, where the first substrate has lamination on a countertop side of the first substrate and lamination on an edge side of the first substrate that extends along a first portion of a length of the edge side of the first substrate. The first substrate can also include a first miter cut angled into the first substrate and slots extending into the first substrate for receiving biscuits. The laminated countertop assembly can also include a second generally longitudinal slab with a second substrate, where the second substrate has lamination on a countertop side of the second substrate and lamination on an edge side of the second substrate. The second substrate can also include a second miter cut at a corner of the second substrate and slots extending into the second substrate for receiving the biscuits.
