A modular furniture assembly includes a base, a back, a removable seat, and a first bracket. The base defines an interior cavity. The first bracket includes first and second portions. The first portion is configured to connect the back with the base. The second portion is configured to support the removable seat within the interior cavity of the base.

The present disclosure provides a modular sectional sofa, including a bottom frame, a backrest frame and a cushion, wherein the inner side surface of the backrest frame is provided with a hook body, the hook body comprises a connection element, the lower surface of the connection element is provided with an inserting part, the upper surface of the bottom frame is provided with a hole or slot, when the inserting part is connected to the hole or slot, the backrest frame is connected with the bottom frame into a whole. This reduces the size and the weight of sofa to improve the convenience of sofa handling. There are a variety of combinations. The present disclosure is strongly stable after assemble and convenient for people to use.

A modular furniture system is for a variety of purposes and includes at least one furniture base module consisting of a backrest element, a seat base module, two upholstery elements and a plurality of foot elements. The backrest element and the seat base module are capable of being connected and fastened by the foot elements without the use of tools, so that the furniture base module is capable of being packed ready for assembly in a shipping carton with low dimensions, in particular with dimensions up to 120 cm×60 cm×60 cm, and with a reduced weight, in particular with a weight of less than 30 kg.
