A sofa bed with three moving seat bases that transforms between a bed configuration and a sofa configuration. The sofa bed includes supporting legs and armrest. The armrest does not extend to the floor and allows the set of rails to form a notch such that the back end of the sofa bed may be installed on a raised area. Each of the seat bases, and corresponding cushions, are located between the armrests. The seat bases are interconnected with a set of slide rails that allow the seat bases to move relative to one another. The sofa bed also includes a locking mechanism to hold the sofa bed in the sofa configuration.

The link assembly moves between a first position and a second position to allow for conversion of the sofa bed between a sofa position and a bed position. A sofa bed iron frame mechanism has a side plate (16), a back plate (21), a first frame (1), a second frame (2), and connecting members (17); further includes a stabilizer rod assembly and an elastic connecting rod assembly. The first frame (1) is hinged to the second frame (2) by the stabilizer rod assembly, the second frame (2) is connected to the side plate (16) by the elastic connecting rod assembly, and the back plate (21) is disposed at a back side of the second frame (2). The first frame (1) and the second frame (2) are folded or unfolded through the stabilizer rod assembly, and the second frame (2) switches between a folded state and an unfolded state by inertia of the elastic connecting rod assembly. For this iron frame mechanism, there is no interference during folding.

A convertible piece of furniture, comprising a frame (100) with at least one sidewall (102), said sidewall (102) having at least two sides (102a, 102b), and one (102a) of the sides comprising at least a backrest (104), characterized in that the sidewall (102) can be attached to the frame (100) in such a way that the backrest (104) is facing away from the interior of the frame (100), forming a seat on the frame (100), and in such a way that the backrest (104) is positioned inside the frame (100), without tilting.

A convertible piece of furniture, comprising a frame (100) with at least one sidewall (102), said sidewall (102) having at least two sides (102a, 102b), and one (102a) of the sides comprising at least a backrest (104), characterized in that the sidewall (102) can be attached to the frame (100) in such a way that the backrest (104) is facing away from the interior of the frame (100), forming a seat on the frame (100), and in such a way that the backrest (104) is positioned inside the frame (100), without tilting.

A seat 100 moveable between a seat configuration and a bed configuration, the seat 100 comprising a squab 120 including upper and lower cushions 126, 124, a conversion mechanism configured to move the squab 120, for converting the seat 100 between the seat and bed configurations, and a backrest 122 connected to the squab 120 or conversion mechanism, for moving with the squab 120, the squab 120 being laterally displaceable by the conversion mechanism between a first position in the seat configuration and a second position in the bed configuration, and the backrest 122 being configured to occupy a space at an end of the squab 120 which is made available by lateral displacement of the squab 120 into the second position, and the upper cushion 126 of the squab 120 being movable relative to the lower cushion 124 for covering the backrest 122 in the bed configuration.

A seat 100 moveable between a seat configuration and a bed configuration, the seat 100 comprising a squab 120 including upper and lower cushions 126, 124, a conversion mechanism configured to move the squab 120, for converting the seat 100 between the seat and bed configurations, and a backrest 122 connected to the squab 120 or conversion mechanism, for moving with the squab 120, the squab 120 being laterally displaceable by the conversion mechanism between a first position in the seat configuration and a second position in the bed configuration, and the backrest 122 being configured to occupy a space at an end of the squab 120 which is made available by lateral displacement of the squab 120 into the second position, and the upper cushion 126 of the squab 120 being movable relative to the lower cushion 124 for covering the backrest 122 in the bed configuration.
