In some embodiments, a hinge assembly for a folding structure includes a center post securable to the center section, and a connecting bracket movably coupled with the center post that is vertically displaceable on the center post between a down position and an up position. A forward bracket is secured at one end to the connecting bracket and is securable at an opposite end to the head section, and an aft bracket is secured at one end to the connecting bracket and is securable at an opposite end to the foot section.

A folding bed system includes a bed frame having a head section, a center section, and a foot section. The center section is connected to first and second slide mechanisms, and the head section is connected to first and second guide mechanisms. The slide and guide mechanisms are connectable to opposed walls of a structure. In some embodiments, a hinge assembly for a folding structure includes a center post securable to the center section, and a connecting bracket movably coupled with the center post that is vertically displaceable on the center post between a down position and an up position. A forward bracket is secured at one end to the connecting bracket and is securable at an opposite end to the head section, and an aft bracket is secured at one end to the connecting bracket and is securable at an opposite end to the foot section.

An integrated chair for selectively providing seating support and sleeping support is provided. The integrated chair comprises a mobile sleeping unit and a chair shell. The chair shell comprises: a pair of spaced, opposed, side walls, each side wall having at least a bottom edge, an inner surface and an outer surface; a back wall extending between the pair of side walls; and a pair of truncated arms, one of each of the pair of arms corresponding with a respective one of the pair of side walls, each extending inwardly from the inner surface of a corresponding side wall and having a lower edge that is distal and above the bottom edge of the corresponding side wall; wherein the inner surfaces of the side walls and the lower edge of the arms of the chair shell define a storage compartment sized to accommodate the mobile sleeping unit when the mobile sleeping unit is in the closed position.

The chair shell comprises: a pair of spaced, opposed, side walls, each side wall having at least a bottom edge, an inner surface and an outer surface; a back wall extending between the pair of side walls; and a pair of truncated arms, one of each of the pair of arms corresponding with a respective one of the pair of side walls, each extending inwardly from the inner surface of a corresponding side wall and having a lower edge that is distal and above the bottom edge of the corresponding side wall; wherein the inner surfaces of the side walls and the lower edge of the arms of the chair shell define a storage compartment sized to accommodate the mobile sleeping unit when the mobile sleeping unit is in the closed position.

A convertible sofa bed system positionable on a floor. The convertible sofa bed system includes a back support assembly having a frame, and a back cushion assembly connected with the back support assembly and movable between a raised condition and a lowered condition thereof. The system also includes one or more body modules secured to the frame. The body module includes an at least partially planar top surface positionable at a predetermined elevation above the floor. The body module is formed to cooperate with the back cushion assembly in the raised condition to define a seating configuration, and to cooperate with the back cushion assembly in the lowered condition to define a sleeping configuration.

A convertible sofa bed system positionable on a floor. The convertible sofa bed system includes a back support assembly having a frame, and a back cushion assembly connected with the back support assembly and movable between a raised condition and a lowered condition thereof. The system also includes one or more body modules secured to the frame. The body module includes an at least partially planar top surface positionable at a predetermined elevation above the floor.
