Seat, chair, and load support body
To realize a noble, useful seat with a simple structure designed to follow a natural movement of a seated person in front-rear and left-right directions and to support appropriately a movement of the person continuously changing its posture while the person balances a load. The seat includes the elastic support layer 3 and upper and lower base units 4 and 5 arranged to sandwich the elastic support layer 3. The upper base unit 4 includes the rolling surface 42e bulging toward the lower base unit 5 thereabove via the elastic support layer 3, is rollable in a 360° direction from the tilt reference position IRP in receiving a load of the seated person, and has a moving distal end side tilting more downward as a distance from the position IRP increases, and is configured to move while compressing the elastic support layer 3 by the rolling surface.
Rocker reclining mechanism for a rocker recliner rocking between the arms
A rocker recliner is disclosed that has a pair of stationary arms; a seat disposed between the arms; an ottoman; a back coupled to the seat. A full-recline linkage mechanism couples the ottoman, the seat and the back and is operable to move the ottoman, the seat and the back between a closed position, a TV position and a fully reclined position. A rocker assembly is coupled between the full-recline linkage mechanism and the stationary arms that allows the seat, back and ottoman to rock between the stationary arms in any of the closed position, the TV position or the fully reclined position.
MECHANICAL EXTENSION APPARATUS FOR RECLINING SEAT HAVING EXTENDABLE CHAIR UNIT
The present disclosure relates to a mechanical extension apparatus for an extendable chair unit and a chair unit including such mechanical extension apparatus. The mechanical extension apparatus includes: a reclining apparatus that include multiple links attached to the seat, the backrest and the footrest of the extendable seat, and such reclining apparatus is configured to convert the extendable seat between a sitting position, a TV position, and a lying position. The mechanical extension apparatus also includes an actuator that is attached to the reclining apparatus, and the actuator is configured to electronically convert the extendable seat between the sitting position and the TV position; and the reclining apparatus is configured to convert the extendable seat between the TV position and the lying position by non-electric actuation.
ERGONOMIC MOTION CHAIR
A chair that provides movement side-to-side about a first pivot axis positioned above the seat plane allows the user a wide range of dynamic movement, but does not require constant or excessive action on the part of the user to maintain a desired position. In addition and concurrently thereto, the chair may include structures that allow the seat to be easily positioned and adjusted side-to-side from a neutral position along a defined pivot axis above a seat plane, and it may, if desired, also provide forward-and-back movement of the seat about a second pivot located above or below the seat plane, an improved seatback that supports the user's back without limiting the user's ability to move their shoulder blades, an improved biasing structure for biasing the seat to a neutral position, an imbedded controller or imbedded sensor for allowing the seat's position to be used as a computer controller, or the gathering of the users motion data, and an adjustable tilt locking system to allow the forward-and-back movement of the seat to be held in a desired position.
DYNAMIC FURNITURE FEATURING PENDULUM-LIKE MOTION
A dynamic furniture system includes a first frame portion; a set of rollers mounted to the first frame portion; a second frame portion including one or more rockers having a roller-interface surface having a curved profile; wherein the set of rollers interface with the roller-interface surface of the rockers such that the second frame portion is moveable relative to the first frame portion; a set of one or more electromagnets mounted to or integrated with the first frame portion or the second frame portion; a set of one or more magnetically-interactive elements mounted to or integrated with a different one of the first frame portion or the second frame portion; and an electronic control system configured to vary a parameter of electrical energy supplied to the set of electromagnets over time to induce back and forth motion of one of the first frame portion or the second frame portion.

Rocker chair
A rocker chair having a frame and a longitudinal spring member extending from the frame, at or near a surface on which the chair is supported for rocking motion. The spring member includes an anchored portion anchored to the frame, and an extended portion extending from the anchored portion and is free to flex or bend against spring bias of the extended portion, wherein the extended portion is bendable upward from the support surface against spring bias of the extended portion. The frame of the rocker chair may be collapsible to convert from a collapsed configuration for stowing, to an extended configuration for seating a person. The spring member may include an anchored portion anchored to at least a portion of a bottom of the frame, and an extended portion extending from the anchored portion, wherein the extended portion is bendable against spring bias of the extended portion.
CHAIR
Provided is an unprecedented chair in which movement of a seat by using a rolling surface can be smoothly performed.
The chair includes an upper base unit 31 and a lower base unit 32 facing each other, and a seat 1 that is provided in the upper base unit 31 and swings when the upper base unit 31 rolls with respect to the lower base unit 32, and the upper base unit 31, which is at least one of the upper base unit 31 and the lower base unit 32, includes a rolling surface 312a being curved.
