Foldable seat, which is foldable between a use position for use as a seat and a storage position for storage and transport of the seat, comprising a two-part top wall for the direct or indirect formation of a seating surface, two two-part A-sidewalls to support the top wall on a floor, two B-sidewalls to support the top wall on a floor, two top wall parts, which are swivelable to each other outwards with a top wall hinge, and form the top wall, whereby the foldable seat comprises at least one locking device for locking of the two top wall parts in the use position of the seat, so that the foldable seat additionally forms a storage box for storing objects on the bottom surface of the top wall with an orientation of the foldable seat with the bottom surface of the top wall upwards.

A modular furniture seat assembly comprises a seating portion having a front end, a rear end, a pair of opposing side edges, and a seating connector component on each of the opposing side edges. When the chair is in the folded position, the chair can be hung on a wall, where the artwork, or the like, can be displayed. In this manner, the folding chair serves as a decorative, or other useful, wall hanging when the chair is not in use. Further, when the chair is removed and opened to function as seating, the pegs may be available for use as a coat rack.

The chair may be used, e.g., as a backrest with an accessory support positioned in front thereof for work, or as a seated workstation wherein the accessory support is positioned adjacent a rear surface of the user body support in a deployed position, and the collapsible seat in a deployed position.
