PLAYARD WITH COMPACT FOLDED CONFIGURATION AND STORAGE LATCH
A frame for a foldable playard includes multiple leg support assemblies and X-frame assemblies that provide and maintain clearances in accordance with consumer safety standards when the playard is fully folded, fully unfolded, or between the folded and unfolded configurations. These assemblies further facilitate a compact size in the folded configuration. Each leg support assembly includes a leg tube, a corner, and a slider where the corners and the sliders have arms rotatably coupled to the X-frame assemblies. For each pair of adjacent leg support assemblies, the respective arms of the sliders and the corners are dimensioned to provide the desired clearances while being offset such that the respective arms of the sliders and the corners overlap one another when the frame is folded, thus facilitating a compact size of the folded frame. The frame may also include a storage latch to lock the frame in the folded configuration.
BASSINET ACCESSORY FOR A PLAYARD
A bassinet accessory for a foldable playard, wherein the bassinet and playard are folded and unfolded together. When unfolded, the bassinet is relatively shallow from a top of the playard so that a caregiver may more easily place a child into, and remove the child from, the bassinet. A bassinet mattress is supported by a central hub on the bottom of the bassinet and four support tubes coupled to the hub and extending to respective bottom corners of the bassinet. During folding, the bassinet hub travels in a vertical direction and the support tubes rotate from a horizontal to a vertical position, becoming parallel with respective legs of the playard. Thus, in the compact folded configuration, the bassinet hub is surrounded by and within the folded frame of the playard or flush with the top of the playard (so as not to appreciably extend beyond a top of the playard).
Horizontal universal joint
A horizontal universal joint includes a first joint member and a second joint member. The first joint member is integrally formed by a frame insertion port and a female coupling port. The second joint member is integrally formed by a frame insertion port and a male coupling port. The female coupling port of the first joint member and the male coupling port of the second joint member are removably engaged via an elastic body. Teeth rows are formed at an inner peripheral surface of the female coupling port and an outer peripheral surface of the male coupling port meshing with one another. Depending on meshing positions of both teeth rows when the male coupling port is inserted into the female coupling port, the horizontal direction where the frame insertion port of the second joint member faces relative to the frame insertion port of the first joint member is changeable.
Horizontal universal joint
A horizontal universal joint includes a first joint member and a second joint member. The first joint member is integrally formed by a frame insertion port and a female coupling port. The second joint member is integrally formed by a frame insertion port and a male coupling port. The female coupling port of the first joint member and the male coupling port of the second joint member are removably engaged via an elastic body. Teeth rows are formed at an inner peripheral surface of the female coupling port and an outer peripheral surface of the male coupling port meshing with one another. Base unit for plastic playyard or barrier
A base unit includes first and fourth connectors that are obliquely positioned relative to each other such that a first connector of a first base unit is engagable to a fourth connector of a second base unit. The present base unit further includes second and third connectors that are obliquely positioned relative to each other such that a second connector of the first base unit is engagable to a third connector of the second base unit. A set of base units may form a self-standing playyard enclosure or one or more of the base units may be clamped by the jaws of a bracket that in turn is pivotably engaged to a wall mount.
FOLDABLE ENCLOSURE APPARATUS HAVING A LOCKING DEVICE FOR A BABY BED
A foldable enclosure apparatus having a locking device for a baby bed has a hub device, four lower assemblies, four upper assemblies, and at least one locking device. The lower assemblies are foldable and are pivotally mounted around the hub device. Each upper assembly is foldable and is mounted between two adjacent lower assemblies of the four lower assemblies. The at least one locking device is mounted with the corresponding lower assembly and the corresponding upper assembly for locking or unlocking the upper assemblies to enhance the safety of the foldable enclosure apparatus.
CHANGING TABLE PLACED ON A GROUND OR A TABLE AND CAPABLE OF WEIGHTING A CHILD
A changing table placed on a ground or a table and capable of weighting a child is provided. The changing table includes a frame, a weighting module and a fabric component. The frame includes a lower frame and an upper frame movably installed on the lower frame. The weighting module includes four load sensors disposed on four corners of the frame and between the lower frame and the upper frame. The fabric component covers the upper frame to form a supporting area between the upper frame and the lower frame for supporting the child. The changing table can measure a first weight of the child before feeding the child and further measure a second weight of the child after feeding the child, so as to determine a difference of the second weight and the first weight of the child as the feeding intake.
CHANGING TABLE PLACED ON A GROUND OR A TABLE AND CAPABLE OF WEIGHTING A CHILD
A changing table placed on a ground or a table and capable of weighting a child is provided. The changing table includes a frame, a weighting module and a fabric component. The frame includes a lower frame and an upper frame movably installed on the lower frame. The fabric component covers the upper frame to form a supporting area between the upper frame and the lower frame for supporting the child. The frame includes multiple leg support assemblies and multiple X-frame assemblies that couple adjacent leg support assemblies together. The X-frame assembly is positioned near the top of the frame when the playard is unfolded such that the X-frame assembly functions as a top rail to mechanically reinforce the playard. In this manner, the playard does not include a separate compliant or rigid top rail or a bottom support structure, thus reducing the number of parts for manufacture. Additionally, the playard includes a single latch mechanism to maintain the playard in the unfolded configuration. The playard may also include an optional canopy cover assembly mounted to the frame to provide shade for the child.
