PRODUCT FAN SYSTEM AND RELATED METHODS

A system uses one or more fans to regulate airflow associated with products, such as to assist in retarding the spoilage of produce on display for sale in a space. The system includes a display in the space for displaying the produce for sale and at least one sensor for sensing a parameter associated with the display and generating an output representative of the parameter. The fan may be an overhead fan located in the space above the display for regulating the airflow over the display. A controller is provided for controlling the fan based on the output of the sensor. Related aspects and methods are also disclosed.

A produce display station assembly including a carriage for carrying produce to be displayed. A display station receives the carriage. Preferably, the display station defines an open front for the carriage to enter into the display station. Advantageously, the produce to be displayed can be conveniently carried between the display station and the cool room, without the need to transport the produce individually.

Dry fog diffuser for cold service case

A dry fog diffuser assembly for use in a refrigerated space comprises a base having an adapter for connection to a high-pressure water supply in a range of 600 to 1,000 psi. The nozzle has an orifice in the range of 0.003-0.012 inches to produce a fine water vapor. A riser operatively connects the nozzle to the adapter to space the nozzle from the base. A housing is mounted to the base and encloses the nozzle. The housing defines an open space below the nozzle providing an air inlet to the interior of the housing. A diffuser comprises a stainless-steel elbow having an inlet end and an outlet end. The inlet end is mounted to the housing. An inner surface of the diffuser has a roughness of at least Ra25, where water vapor from the nozzle is diffused in the elbow and the diffuser produces a dry fog exiting at the outlet end.

Modular refrigeration systems

The present application provides a refrigerated merchandising case. The refrigerated merchandising case may include a refrigerated product area, a rear panel with a roller channel and a number of support apertures, and a number of shelves with a roller and a number of attachment prongs. The shelves may maneuver along the rear panel via the roller within roller channel and attach via the attachment prongs and the support apertures.

PRESERVATION SYSTEM FOR PERISHABLE PRODUCTS

As disclosed herein, a preservation system for perishable products in a display case comprises a control valve for connection to a water supply. A pressure regulator is connected to the control valve for reducing water pressure. A plurality of piezoelectric transducer nebulizers are operatively mounted to the display case in spaced apart relation to one another and are fluidically connected in series with an output of the pressure regulator to emit a dry fog. A control system comprises a controller for controlling a duty cycle of a pulse signal to vibrate the piezoelectric transducers in the plurality of nebulizers, and a timer for alternately generating an on and an off signal to periodically control the valve to supply water to the pressure regulator and to enable the controller whereby the nebulizers emit the dry fog to maintain desired relative humidity level throughout the display case.
