Picture Frame
A picture frame comprising a picture carrier portion and a frame portion, the picture carrier portion to carry a picture member; the frame portion comprising frame members with: an outer side member hingedly connected at a first hinge connection to the picture carrier portion; a back member hingedly connected at a second hinge connection to the outer side member, and an inner side member hingedly connected at a third hinge connection to the back member, wherein in an assembled position: the outer side member forms an outer side of the frame, the back member forms a back of the frame, and; the inner side member forms an inner side of the frame, wherein a connection system is arranged to lock the inner side member to the picture carrier portion.
Frame assembly
A frame assembly for supporting a flat article. In one aspect, the frame assembly may include a stack including a transparent window panel and a frame. The frame may include a floor structure for supporting the stack and an outer annular wall coupled to and surrounding the floor structure, the outer annular wall including a plurality of corners, an outer surface defining a periphery of the frame, an inner surface defining a display cavity, and a front edge that defines a display opening configured to allow the stack to pass therethrough into the display cavity. The inner surface of the outer annular wall may include a plurality of recessed regions, each of the recessed regions encompassing one of the corners of the outer annular wall.
FRAME APPARATUS
A frame apparatus for displaying an article The frame apparatus includes a frame having a rabbet and a channel having a channel axis formed into a wall of the rabbet. A stack is positioned within the rabbet for display. The stack may include a glazing, an article for display, and a backer panel. A clip member is slidably coupled to the frame within the channel such that the clip member can slide within the channel along the channel axis while remaining coupled to the frame. The clip member has a hanging feature. Thus, the clip member serves the dual purpose of securing the stack within the rabbet and also providing the hanging feature for the frame. Furthermore, the clip member functions as a built-in self-leveling feature because it can slide within the channel thus ensuring that the frame is hung in a level manner.
HANGING FRAME ASSEMBLY
An article for hanging on a support surface includes a substrate having a first end and a second end. The article includes a pair of rails with each rail including a recessed channel that extends in a longitudinal direction. A pair of splines is provided with each spline including a raised ridge that extends in a longitudinal direction. The raised ridge is configured for insertion into the recessed channel. The article also includes a first pair of end caps. Each end cap of the first pair of end caps having an end walls and side walls that define a hollow interior, wherein each end cap of the first pair of end caps further includes slots that are formed in two of the side walls that are opposite one another. The article includes an elongated hanging element that has enlarged portions at two opposite ends thereof. The elongated hanging element passes through the slots of the first pair of end caps with the enlarged portions being located external to the first pair of end caps. Wherein in an assembled state, one rail and one spline are disposed adjacent one another such that the raised ridge is at least partially inserted into the recessed channel and the substrate is captured within the recessed channel and the first pair of end caps are disposed over opposite ends of the one rail and one spline to join and hold the one rail and one spline against one another with the substrate captured therebetween.
PICTURE FRAME COMPRISING A VIEWING WINDOW SIDE AND A FRAME SIDE, PICTURE FRAME SYSTEM, CONNECTING ELEMENT
A picture frame comprises a viewing window side (1) and a frame side (2). There is a interstice between the viewing window and the frame side. The viewing window and frame sides comprise assembly components (5) in order to assemble the viewing window and frame sides together. An assembly component on the frame side comprises a flexible protruding clamping part (51) provided with a clamping section (52) on a side facing the viewing window (3) and the viewing window (3) is provided with a complementary clamping section (31) at an edge of the viewing window (3) with the complementary clamping sections (52, 31) fitting into each other and with, when assembled, the protruding clamping parts (51) on the frame side exert a clamping force (F2) on the viewing window with the direction of the clamping force (F2) being mainly in the flat plane of the viewing window.
The outer annular wall may have a non-uniform thickness. The corner portions may have lower and upper portions, with the lower portions having a greater thickness than the lower portions.

Picture framing hardware component
A one piece inexpensive essentially universal compressive loading type hardware component that is quickly installed/uninstalled particularly designed for clamping a variety of common objects, e.g.; photos, canvas paintings, books, etc. directly onto the back of a common mat board comprising an appropriately sized aperture to provide a popular sized border within many common popular back-loading off-the-shelf picture frame assemblies with or without glaze. In particular, installing at least two said hardware components is required for complete installation eliminating need for other type fasteners to complete the assembly. More particular, adjusting art object location is easily performed by sliding said art object laterally under load of said hardware component due to the effective distribution of compressive loads to secure said assembly while mitigating risk of damage to said art object, mat and frame as well as employing a particular manufacturing process to mitigate risk of fatigue.
