The spout component is shaped and sized to be received within a child's mouth. The first end region comprises one or more openings configured to allow liquid to be extracted through the spout component when the child is applying suction to the spout component. The sip lid also includes a base component extending from the second end region of the spout component and surrounding the spout component. The base component is made from an elastic material configured to allow the base component to stretch over differently sized mouths of drinking vessels to form a liquid-tight seal between the base component and the drinking vessels.

An apparatus for covering and protecting an edible item that allows a flexible covering to cover and protect the edible item without damaging or altering a feature on the edible item. The edible item has a top surface with an outer edge. The apparatus provides a plurality of vertical supports, each having a first portion and a second portion. A food cutting guide comprising a base for supporting and cutting food, said base having first and second planar surfaces, a peripheral edge, and a plurality of cutting grooves formed in at least one of the planar surfaces to facilitate and guide the movement of a food cutting utensil in cutting the food, and at least one centering guide disposed inwardly from said peripheral edge on at least the planar surfaces having said cutting grooves; wherein said at least one centering guide facilitates the placement of the food in the center of the cutting surface; and wherein said plurality of cutting grooves are equally spaced to facilitate cutting equal size slices of food.
