SYSTEM FOR INTERACTING WITH FOOD
A system for interacting with food includes a rigid plate with a plurality of recessed regions formed in a body portion of the plate. The recessed regions are arranged to define a shape of an object such as a vehicle or animal for appealing to a young child. One or more of the recessed regions may include a nesting region having a shape substantially matching the shape of a head portion of a utensil for use with the plate. The recessed regions may also include a dock portion that mates with and elevates a head portion of an associated utensil above the lower surface of the recessed region. The body portion may include a retention feature that mates with and retains and handle portion of the utensil. Transition regions between the walls and the lower surfaces of recessed regions may match the shape of the head of the utensil.

Portable food service assembly
A portable food service assembly includes a plate non-threadedly attached to, and detached from, an optional support. The assembly includes eating utensils and accessories, and can readily be carried by an individual from one place to another with one hand, and can be readily supported and held without tipping on a support surface, including in a compartment of a cupholder. All the components of the assembly are disposable, biodegradable, and, if desired, reusable.

Plate And Cup Assembly
A plate and cup assembly for attaching a cup to a plate includes a food plate that has an opening extending through the food plate. A cup is provided and the cup is insertable upwardly through the opening in the food plate. A lid is insertable into the opening in the food plate and the lid releasably engages the cup when the cup is inserted upwardly through the opening for retaining the cup on the food plate. The lid has a straw opening extending through the lid to facilitate a drinking straw to be extended through the straw opening and into the cup for drinking the beverage contained in the cup when the cup is retained on the food plate.

System for holding tableware on a table
The invention provides a supported body having a magnetic or ferromagnetic component to adhere the supported body to a magnetic or ferromagnetic support, such as a table top by magnetic attraction. A reusable adhering component, such as a stretch-releasable pressure sensitive adhesive tape is disposed on a top surface of the supported body to removably attach tableware or dishware to the supported body. The supported body can be in the form of a plate, a coaster, a placemat, or other known configuration. Alternatively, a support body can be releasably secured to a table top or other support surface by a releasable attaching device such as a suction cup and a supported body can be releasably attached to a piece of tableware or dishware by a releasable attaching device such as a suction cup, and the support body and the supported body can be magnetically attached to each other.

Container for storing and mixing food items
A portable container includes a top portion defining a first hollow region configured to store a first product, a bottom portion rotatably coupled to the top portion and defining a second hollow region configured to store a second product, and a sealing mechanism configured to selectively fluidly couple the first and second hollow regions during relative rotation of the top and bottom portions. The sealing mechanism is movable between a closed position in which the first hollow region of the top portion is fluidly isolated from the hollow region of the bottom portion, and an open position in which the first hollow region is fluidly coupled with the second hollow region. Rapid relative rotation of the top and bottom portions causes the sealing mechanism to move from the closed position to the open position.
