A display device is disclosed. The display device comprises a backpiece, hingeably mounted by one or more hinge elements to a frontispiece, enabling the frontispiece to be pivoted along a first edge between a closed, display position and an open position allowing insertion/removal of a display article. The frontispiece has a border section and a transparent viewing section, the viewing section and border section secured together to form the frontispiece. Additionally, a catch releasably securing the frontispiece to the backpiece is included, the catch comprising an actuator movable within the backpiece and in a direction through the body of the backpiece, to respectively engage and release the frontispiece, whereby movement of the actuator causes a retaining element to raise and lower to respectively engage and disengage from a retaining element barrier mounted on the frontispiece, said engagement preventing pivoting of the frontispiece from the closed position.

Frame assembly

A frame assembly for supporting a flat article. In one aspect, the frame assembly may include a stack including a transparent window panel and a frame. The frame may include a floor structure for supporting the stack and an outer annular wall coupled to and surrounding the floor structure, the outer annular wall including a plurality of corners, an outer surface defining a periphery of the frame, an inner surface defining a display cavity, and a front edge that defines a display opening configured to allow the stack to pass therethrough into the display cavity. The inner surface of the outer annular wall may include a plurality of recessed regions, each of the recessed regions encompassing one of the corners of the outer annular wall.

Frame assembly

Embodiments of the present disclosure include an image frame assembly including a frame portion defining a viewing window and a backing panel attached to a back of the frame portion. The backing panel includes a hinge portion that rotatably couples the backing panel to the frame portion to allow the frame portion to rotate relative to the backing panel about an axis extending parallel to and proximate to an upper edge of the backing panel, a body portion extending from the hinge portion and configured to cover at least portion of a viewing window of the frame portion, and a plurality of biased members extending from the planar portion and toward the frame portion.

Hanging assembly and frame apparatus incorporating the same

A frame apparatus having an adjustable hanging height. The frame apparatus may include a frame having a mounting member thereon. The mounting member may extend along an axis and have a plurality of mounting elements located on opposite sides of the axis in an axially spaced apart manner. Furthermore, a mounting bracket is configured to be coupled to a support surface (i.e., a wall) and to the mounting member. The mounting bracket may extend along an axis and have a plurality of mounting elements located on opposite sides of the axis in an axially spaced apart manner. The frame may be hung from the support surface by engaging a subset of the mounting elements of the mounting member with the mounting elements of the mounting bracket. The mounting member and the mounting bracket may collectively form a hanging assembly for the frame apparatus.

A frame system according to one embodiment includes a hollow outer frame element that includes a plurality of recesses formed along inner faces of walls of the outer frame element. The outer frame element further includes a plurality of ribs formed along the inner face and an inner landing that protrudes inwardly into a center opening of the outer frame element. The frame system also includes a back plate configured for insertion into the center opening. The back plate includes a plurality of locking ribs for reception within the plurality of recesses to generate a snap-fit attachment of the back plate to the hollow outer frame element.

The back support plate comprises a front side that forms a display for receiving the ornamental album thereon and a backside having mounting fasteners for hanging the ornamental frame on the wall. The front frame in one embodiment has a rectangular shape for receiving the display album therein with a finger notch located on the bottom edge of the front frame for removing the display album from the ornamental frame. The frame further comprises an ornamental sleeve that encapsulates the ornamental frame.
