A larger bouquet of cut stems can be suspended by the edges of the top opening. A smaller bouquet of cut stems can be suspended by the edges of the slot. A segmented vase adapted for use to display fresh cut or artificial floral arrangements. The segmented floral vase is formed from a plurality of vase segments that may be stacked or joined to form a vase having a desired height for holding a floral arrangement. In a preferred embodiment, the segments may be nested, when not in use, to reduce the space required for storage of the vase. The plurality of vase segments may be formed with a frusto-conical sidewall. The segments may include a base segment, at least one intermediate segment, and a top segment. The segments may be joined in one or more of a snap fit, an interference fit, a threaded connection, or a tab and slot arrangement.

A novel and useful container suitable for holding objects such as flowers and which may include a platform configured to be coupled to at least one flower. A body may include at least one wall that may extend between top and bottom edges and may define at least a portion of a cavity configured to receive the platform. The top edge may define a first opening leading to the cavity. A bottom wall may be located at or near the bottom edge of the body and may define a second opening leading to the cavity. A tensioner may be coupled to the platform and may form a tab that may partially extend from the platform towards the bottom wall and may be configured to be grasped by a user to urge at least a portion of the platform from the cavity towards the second opening when the tab is pulled.
