The clutching mechanism can be a mechanical or magnetic clutching mechanism. The present invention also relates to a food or beverage accessory for use with a tray, and a tray kit comprising a tray and a selection of accessories each one having a clutching mechanism such that the accessories can interchangeably be mounted in and demounted off the tray based in the use desired; wherein each one of the food or beverage holding accessory has a structure adapted for a specific type of food or beverage.
