Christmas tree stand
A tree stand for removably supporting a tree includes a base having a water basin. A plurality of spaced apart jaws are biased upwardly and inwardly of an axis of the base to form an expandable clamp. An end of a trunk of the tree forcibly expands the jaws against their bias as the trunk is inserted into the water basin. The jaws of the clamp engage an outer surface of the trunk as they are biased towards their closed position to hold the tree vertically upright and stable.
Tree stand
A system for mounting decorative objects, such as Christmas trees, is disclosed. The system can include a base and a plurality of inserts. The base can comprise a plurality of feet that have a retracted position for ready storage and a deployed position for supporting a tree. The base can further comprise a locking mechanism for locking the feet in the retracted position, the deployed position, or both. The base can further comprise an adapter for receiving one or more inserts. The inserts can comprise a consistent outer diameter, for insertion into the adapter, and a variety of inner diameters for use with a variety of tree diameters. The insert can be installed on the trunk of a tree and then installed into the adapter on the base simplifying the tree erection process.

HYDROPONIC FEED INDICATION APPARATUS
A hydroponic feed indication apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus may include a hollow body having a distal body portion and a proximal body portion. The distal body portion may be inserted into a tree stand, and the proximal body portion may receive fluid via a proximal body portion top end. The apparatus may further include an anode electrode and a cathode electrode disposed at a distal body portion exterior surface. The anode electrode may move along a distal body portion length via a first elongated slit disposed on the distal body portion. The cathode electrode may move along the distal body portion length via a second elongated slit disposed on the distal body portion. The apparatus may further include a fill level indicator disposed on the body. The fill level indicator may activate when the fluid shorts the anode electrode and the cathode electrode.

Stand for elongated objects
A stand for Christmas trees and other elongated objects includes spring biased, movable arm assemblies, with each arm assembly including a base arm and a gripping arm pivotally secured to the base arm. The gripping arm includes upper and lower elongated object engaging surfaces. When a Christmas tree or other elongated objects is pressed to downward between the arm assemblies, the elongated object contacts the lower object engaging surfaces, bringing the upper object engaging surfaces into contact with the elongated object. Spring pressure supplied by springs within the arm assemblies retains the elongated object within the stand.
Pole-type member support device and method therefor
A pole type member support device has a receptacle having an opening formed in a top section thereof. The receptacle is conical in shaped and tapered so that the top section of the receptacle is smaller than a bottom section of the receptacle. A tubular cut-out is formed within the receptacle and extends down from the opening. The tubular cutout is tapered so that the top section of the tubular cut-out is larger than a bottom section of the tubular cut-out. A plurality of ring members is provided wherein each ring member has an opening formed through a central area thereof, each opening having a diameter approximately equal to a diameter of a pole-type member, each of the plurality of ring members configured to be inserted and held within the tubular cut-out to support a pole-type member in an upright position within the tubular cut-out.
