An improved dish for displaying and storing vegetables at room temperature. A transparent dome component rests on a planar base. An opening in the apex of the dome components allows vegetable to be readily placed and removed from the dish. The opening is closed by a loose-fitting lid so that sufficient humidity is maintained to keep the stored vegetables from becoming flaccid. Yet sufficient air exchange is allowed by the edges of the lid to retard senescent and spoiling of the vegetables.

The housing has a generally hollow interior with the air inlet located on the bottom portion and the air outlet located on the top portion. The air outlet is generally perpendicular to the housing in an upright position. The electric fan is arranged to be baby-safe. The rechargeable battery operationally providing power to the electric fan. The lower portion has a greater mass than the middle and top portions such that the center of gravity of the housing is lowered.

A frozen beverage device to convert a liquid beverage into a semi-frozen or frozen form has inner and outer walls forming at least one refrigerant cavity containing a refrigerant material with a freezing point below the freezing point of the liquid, the refrigerant material occupying at least 60% of the volume of the refrigerant cavity. The walls of the device can be squeezed to accelerate the heat transfer from the liquid to the refrigerant material; and the device may be placed in a squeezing apparatus. Where the device is to be disposable, the device can be placed in a flexible sheath or outer container before being squeezed to protect the device and/or insulate the user from the refrigerant material. A freezing spoon or stirrer can be used to assist, or accelerate, the freezing process.
