Locking beverage container
A locking beverage container includes a container and a complementary removably securable lid. The lid includes a drinking aperture, a flap, and a lock. The drinking aperture is in fluid communication with the container when the lid is secured to the container and can be utilized by an individual to drink the contents of the container. The flap can be moved to a closed position to cover the drinking aperture to prevent access to the drinking aperture and contents of the container. The lock is operably connected to the flap and can selectively lock the flap in a closed position such that the flap cannot be moved by an unauthorized individual. The lock can also be unlocked thereby enabling the flap to move and enabling the individual to access and utilize the drinking aperture again.
Personalized drinking cup with fingerprint reader
A personalized drinking cup assembly comprises a lid which includes a mouthpiece, and includes a fingerprint reader located thereon to enable the user to access and use the mouthpiece to drink from the cup. In some embodiments the cap comprises a top portion and a side wall extending perpendicularly therefrom, and the fingerprint reader is located on the side wall. In some embodiments, the cap further comprises a handle, on which the fingerprint reader is located. In use, the user utilizes the fingerprint reader in order to access the mouthpiece for drinking from the cup. Once the fingerprint reader is read and the user is identified as the owner or authorized user of the cup, the mouthpiece will be opened for consumption thereby.
PROTECTION APPARATUS
A protection apparatus is for use with a drink container. The drink container contains a beverage. The protection apparatus includes a coupling member, a transport apparatus coupled to the coupling member, and a drink cover configured to be removably maintained on the transport apparatus. When the drink cover is removed from the transport apparatus, the drink cover is configured to cover and be secured to the drink cup, thereby minimizing undesirable spiking of the beverage within the drink container.
Universal beverage container cover
A universal cover for covering all types of beverage containers and an associated carrying case is disclosed. When placed over any beverage container, the universal cover disclosed uses decorative weights made with acrylic plastic gems, crystals or metal, to keep the cover secured in place as well as for keeping it well stretched and snugly placed over the rim of a beverage container. The universal cover also includes a central opening for inserting a straw or a sipping device there-through. The universal beverage cover offers the functionality of creating a cover for containers where typically no lid or cover typically exists as is the case for non-portable beverage containers such as wine glasses, beer or juice mugs, and other crystal-ware used at a restaurant, banquet hall, or another indoor setting. The universal cover disclosed provides a level of protection against pathogens and other contaminants while maintaining the necessary decor and formality of the setting. Embodiments of the invention provide the additional functionality of maintaining beverage temperature for longer periods. The universal cover can be made with fabrics, or faux leather or vinyl type fabric for based on the degree of insulation or durability desired.
Drinking Vessel Monitor
A drinking vessel monitor in the form of a lid with a protective disc of rigid material and a depending skirt. A key operated mechanical linkage is connected to contact members underlying the protective disc. Springs cause the contact members to pivot outwardly upon removal of the lid from a drinking vessel. Without the key to operate the mechanical linkage, the contact members hidden within the skirt cannot be retracted sufficiently to place the lid back on the drinking vessel. Optionally, an electrical circuit can be added with a signal generator which generates a visual or audible signal if tampering has occurred.
LOCKING MUG
A locking mug is implemented which is configured with a locking mechanism by which the lid is locked to a cup until an authorized user unlocks the locking mug using their fingerprint. The locking mug may come equipped with the necessary hardware and software to store a fingerprint profile associated with a unique user and then use that fingerprint profile to verify that an authorized user is accessing the locking mug's contents. The locking mug includes a fingerprint scanner that scans the user's fingerprint each time the user wishes to unlock the locking mug and drink its contents. The security measures provided by the locking mug prevents unsuspecting users from being harmed by external predators. The configuration and design of the lid's locking features and security software for verifying a unique user's fingerprint profile facilitates user safety when using the portable locking mug.
Drink spiking prevention device
A drink spiking prevention device comprising a hair accessory and a cover. The hair accessory having a band forming a circle and the band being elastic. The hair accessory further having a hair accessory fabric forming a tube that encapsulates the elastic band and a pouch coupled to the hair accessory fabric. The cover is stored in and removeable from the pouch. The cover includes a cover fabric that extends to a perimeter, an aperture formed in the cover fabric, and a cord extending from the perimeter and coupled to the hair accessory. The cover covers an opening of a cup by the perimeter stretching over and conforming to a diameter of the opening to prevent new material from being added to a liquid in the cup.
Secure beverage container with locking feature and related methods
A secure beverage container may include a body having a first end, a second end opposing the first end, a first longitudinal side extending between the first end and the second end, and a second longitudinal side opposing the first longitudinal side and extending between the first end and the second end, the first end being closed, the second end being open. The body may define a cavity to receive a beverage fluid. The secure beverage container may include a lid to be received by the second end to seal the cavity in the body, and a powered locking device. The secure beverage container may include an access control device coupled to the powered locking device and configured to cause the powered locking device to switch between the locked state and the unlocked state based upon a security token.
Drink lid arrangements and methods
An apparatus can include a generally planar portion approximately in a plane. The apparatus can also include a lip portion extending in a direction generally orthogonal to the plane. The generally planar portion is joined to the lip portion at a circumferential edge of the generally planar portion to form a cover for a beverage container. Likewise, a method can include providing contact information on a disposable cover adapted to cover a beverage container. The contact information is not necessarily provided by the manufacturer of the beverage or beverage container. The method can also include receiving contact from a user of the disposable cover. The method can further include coordinating the delivery of a service to the user of the disposable cover responsive to the contact received from the user.
