A garment hanger (10) comprising a rail engaging portion (16) and garment supporting means in the form of a deformable elongate member (20). The end of the elongate member distal from the rail engaging portion comprises a first part (22) of a connection mechanism such that the elongate member (22) can be deformed back upon itself and connected to a second part (24) of the connection mechanism of the hanger to form a closed loop. The elongate member (20) comprises a side flange (32) along its length.

Certain exemplary embodiments can provide a system, which comprises a hanger. The hanger comprises a hook and a bar. The hook is constructed to suspend the hanger from a rod. The bar is coupled to the hook. An end of the bar defines a chevron shape. The bar defines a slot. The slot comprises a seam aperture. The seam aperture is positioned and sized to engage with a plurality of leg seams of a pair of pants to restrain motion of a pair of pants engaged with the hanger.

A garment hanger includes a hook and an arm. The hook is configured to receive a support rod, and the arm is coupled to the hook and extends outwardly to a free arm end. The arm includes a first substantially planar panel and a top panel extending rearwardly from a top edge of the first substantially planar panel. The arm further includes an indentation and a finger. The indentation is defined adjacent the first substantially planar panel to be at least partially open in a direction facing away from the first substantially planar panel. The indentation defines an outermost edge nearest the free arm end and an innermost end nearest the hook. The finger extends from one of the outermost edge and the innermost edge of the indentation toward the other and is configured to hold a portion of a garment within the indentation.

Some embodiments include a handle portion that is positioned such that the user may depress the actuator portion with the thumb of the hand holding the hanger to open the clamp of the clothes hanger. Other embodiments of the hanger include padding to help secure the pants within the clamp of the hanger and ensure the user's comfort when pressing the actuator portion. Further, the hanger may include a button-like trigger to allow the user to easily open the clamp to insert the pants into the clamp.
