A garment hanger for holding a garment has body having a top portion with a first shoulder portion and a second shoulder portion. A hooking member includes an arm that extends away from the body to a hook that can be hooked on an object, such as a bar. A connection mechanism that connects the hooking member to the body includes a hinge mechanism that allows the hooking member to be rotated towards and away from the body so that the garment hanger can be moved from an unfolded configuration to a folded configuration. The garment hanger can also include one or more protrusions on the body that can engage a notch to secure the hooking member in the folded configuration and/or to allow for cascading of a plurality of garment hangers. In one version, the garment hanger is designed to hold swimwear.

A clothing hanger can include a solid body or substantially solid body. A top portion of the hanger can include a first and second curved portions that make up a rod opening and a hook opening. The body of the hanger can be solid or substantially solid and include one or more cutouts for hanging pants, skirts, scarves, or ties. The two curved portions and the solid or substantially solid body can prevent the hooks of the hanger from becoming entangled with other hangers.

A clothes hanger having a hook section, a hanger section, and a flexible section, configured to connect the hook section and the hanger section. The hanger section having first and second shoulders that include respective first and second tabs at respective lateral ends of the shoulders. The lateral ends are separated by a space without a pants rod connecting the lateral ends. The flexible section includes a strap with a length and a flexibility to allow moving the hook section above or below the hanger section to be positioned in a symmetry plane of the hanger section while the hook section and the hanger section are connected by the flexible section.

In some instances, this can be accomplished by a hardgood that is flexible in a peel direction and rigid in a weight hanging direction. Such hardgoods may include a plurality of minimally connected body segments arranged about the transverse axis of the hardgood body.

A hanging device and methods of making the hanging device are shown and described herein. The hanging device may be a hook or a hanging device. The hanging device comprises: a) a first outer liner; b) at least one inner layer; and c) a second outer liner. For the hanging device, the first outer liner is at least partially disposed on the at least one inner layer and the second outer liner is at least partially disposed on the at least one inner layer, and the first outer liner, the at least one inner layer, and the second outer liner are laminated together. The hanging device may be comprised of a biobased material and/or a recycled material. The hanging device may be biodegradable.
