A Watering device incorporating a light source (5) consisting of at least one inner chamber (2) attached to the exterior surface of the reservoir (1), said inner chamber (2) projecting or extending inwardly, said reservoir (1) having a mouth (3) which is able to be screwed or attached easily to commonly available drip feed devices or watering spikes (4), the inner chamber (2) wall at the exterior surface of the reservoir or extending outwardly from the reservoir exterior surface having a hole to accommodate fully or partially a light source or light sources (5) within the chambers), said light sources providing illumination of the reservoir (1), the plant, and surroundings or part thereof.

A low water indicator (10) comprising an indicator module (12) comprising a control unit (18); a submersible housing (14) with a low water detector (20) connected to said control unit through a cable (16); wherein: a sloping top surface (30) of said submersible housing is formed as a truncated cone with a smaller top area (32), the cable extends from the top area (32), and the low water detector (20) comprises two terminals (20a, 20b) exposed on said sloping top surface (30) below the top area (32); and wherein the control unit (18) is configured to activate the indicator module (12) when the low water detector (20) detects absence of water between the terminals (20a, 20b).

Disclosed is a Christmas tree watering device. The watering device may include a removable faade, similar to a Christmas tree ornament, and a tube which extends down the trunk of the tree into the reservoir of the stand. The faade may be easily removable. The faade may conceal a slender, funnel-shaped filling aperture. Optionally, the faade may be provided in the form of a Santa Claus face, with a large, round mouth leading into the aperture. The watering device may include a sensor, a speaker, and one or more LED lights to alert a user that the tree needs watering, and may also provide an audible alert while pouring, indicating that the reservoir is full, to prevent overfilling.

A moisture sensor providing a visual and audio alert when a tree needs to be watered. The moisture sensor may be mounted onto Christmas trees to detect when water levels are low in the tree stand. The moisture sensor comprises a housing and a probe attached to the housing. The housing may be a Christmas-themed character. The moisture sensor includes a PC board within the housing for determining water levels in the tree stand and uses a LED indicator and speaker to indicate when water levels are below a threshold.

One embodiment provides a system, including: an ornament assembly comprising: a fluid pump therein, wherein the fluid pump comprises an inlet and a discharge; a control mechanism operatively coupled to the fluid pump, wherein the control mechanism controls the fluid pump; a power source operatively coupled to control mechanism; and at least a first aperture and a second aperture; the first aperture being connected to the inlet of the fluid pump and having a connection mechanism for connecting a fluid transfer device; and the second aperture being connected to the discharge of the fluid pump and having a connection mechanism for connecting a fluid transfer device.
