Embodiments include a fitted bed sheet, inflatable bolster pillows and bolster pillow cases, with the fitted sheet having the soft (loop) side of hook and loop fastener straps affixed to the perimeter (sides and bottom), and the bolster pillow cases having the hard (hook) side of hook and loop fastener straps affixed along the entire length of the case, and when the hook and loop fastener straps are affixed together along any side or the entire perimeter, the bolster pillows serve as a soft yet sturdy barrier that prevents a bed occupant from rolling off the bed.

The filling material includes down with synthetic fibers having particles present on the surface of the fibers. The particles are characterized by a configuration which allows attachment of the down to the fibers.

The associated method of manufacturing the filling material includes steps of obtaining a quantity of down and a quantity of synthetic fibers having particles on the surface thereof, wherein the particles allow attachment of the down to the fibers. The down and fibers are blended together to produce the filling material.

A bedding system, method and kit for the automation and ventilation of an existing duvet are disclosed. The system has an inflatable lining configured to be inserted and affixed into a cover together with the duvet, the inflatable lining comprising a network of pneumatic chambers defining a plurality of openings extending through the lining allowing air to circulate through the lining; and an air blower operatively connected to the inflatable lining for blowing air into the network of pneumatic chambers, so as in use, the inflatable lining is inflated to allow for the duvet and its cover to be straightened back into position after every use of the bed. The system can also include a sub-network for providing warm or cold air to control the temperature of the bedding. In contrast to traditional systems, the proposed invention is light weight and easily adaptable to current commercially available beds.

A bedding assembly may comprise a touch layer, a warmth layer, and a decorative layer. The touch layer and warmth layer may functionally correspond to a top sheet and a duvet insert in a conventional bedding system, respectively. The decorative layer is different than conventional duvet covers, since it does not enclose a duvet insert. The layers may be stacked and attached to one another through a series of fasteners that are located largely along the edges of each layer. The upper surface of the touch layer may attach to the lower surface of the warmth layer, and the upper surface of the warmth layer may attach to the lower surface of the decorative layer. A top portion of the touch layer may also fold over the warmth layer and attach to a top portion of the upper surface of the decorative layer.
