Coffee brewing

A method and apparatus provides a coffee beverage having a reduced terpene content, in which terpene content is reduced by increasing the particle size of the coffee grounds.

Apparatus, systems, and methods for brewing a beverage

A system for brewing a desired portion of a beverage, such as a single-cup portion of coffee, is provided. The system may have more than one brew module. The system allows a user to quickly and easily brew a variety of types of single-cup portions of a beverage. In some embodiments, the system may brew a single-cup portion of coffee in a relatively short period of time based on a combination of certain parameters. The system may include an automatic cleaning mechanism such that a user does not need to manually clean components of a brewing machine between brew cycles. The system may also include apparatus configured to substantially prevent steam from reaching grinder components of the system. The system may also include apparatus configured to provide a precise dose of material based on, for example, volume of the material. Methods and apparatus for brewing a beverage are also disclosed.

Infusion unit for a coffee machine

An infusion unit having a closing piston, an infusion cylinder, and an ejection piston (for ejecting spent coffee). The piston can slide inside the infusion cylinder, between a retracted position and an extended position, for ejection of the spent coffee. Operation of the ejection piston can involve an oscillating rocker having a first arm (for driving the ejection piston) and a second arm (for engaging the oscillating movement of the rocker). The oscillating rocker can involve a first control cam arranged to generate oscillation in a direction driving toward the extended position of the ejection piston, or a second control cam arranged to generate oscillation in a direction driving toward the retracted position of the ejection piston.

BREWING CAVITY AND COFFEE BREWER PROVIDED WITH SAME

A brewing cavity and a coffee brewer including the brewing cavity are provided. The brewing cavity includes a brewing cavity shell and a brewing chamber having a groove with an inner diameter less than that of the brewing chamber. A side wall of the groove has a coffee outlet communicatively connected with an exterior. A bottom portion of the groove is provided with a through hole internally provided with a coffee seal ring. A pressure sealing water outlet element is fixedly mounted on an upper end surface of the groove. A filtering portion for filtering coffee is arranged above the pressure sealing water outlet element. A first sliding hole in the filtering portion, a second sealing sliding hole in the pressure sealing water outlet element and a third sealing sliding hole in the coffee seal ring are internally provided with discharge portion capable of sliding along the through hoe axially.

DEVICE FOR FEEDING COFFEE POWDER INTO A BREWING CHAMBER OF A COFFEE MACHINE
20220192412 · 2022-06-23 ·

The invention relates to a device for feeding coffee powder (a) into a brewing chamber of a coffee machine, comprising a brewing chamber container (1) having a filling opening (2) for receiving and brewing the coffee powder (a) and a feeding apparatus (3) for feeding the coffee powder (a) into the brewing chamber container (1) through the filling opening (2). By means of a shaking apparatus (4), which is coupled to the brewing chamber container (1), the brewing chamber container (1) is set vibrating during and/or after the filling with coffee powder. As a result, the coffee powder put into the brewing chamber container is compressed and evened out and, in particular, the coffee powder is prevented from piling up in the form of hills as the coffee powder is put into the brewing chamber container

Method for brewing coffee

The method includes the steps of loading ground coffee in a dispensing chamber; pressing said ground coffee present in the dispensing chamber by means of a piston (1) for the compaction thereof; dispensing the ground coffee; supplying the brewed coffee to a user; and determining if the position of the piston (1) varies depending on the amount of ground coffee that is loaded in said dispensing chamber.

A brewing device is used for preparing beverages like in particular coffee or tea. The brewing device includes a brewing chamber with an opening for loading/unloading a brewing material, a piston slidably mounted in the brewing chamber and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is programmed to cause the piston to move among a loading configuration, in which the brewing material is loadable in the brewing chamber, a compression configuration, in which the piston compacts the brewing material in the brewing chamber, and an expulsion configuration, in which the piston extracts the exhausted material from the brewing chamber. The electronic control unit is programmed to cause, in the loading configuration, the piston to lower from a higher position, corresponding to an initial loading configuration, to a lower position, corresponding to a final loading configuration.
