COFFEE MACHINE WITH AUTOMATIC LOCKING OF THE FILTER-HOLDER
A coffee machine has a supporting body that delivers hot water for producing a beverage. A filter-holder is can be filled with a brewing material and releasably coupleable to the supporting body to receive hot water therefrom for brewing the brewing material to produce the beverage. A coupling device includes a first coupling part mounted on the supporting body and a second coupling part carried by the filter-holder. The coupling device is configured to tighten the filter-holder by a relative rotation of the first coupling part and the second coupling part. An automation device is configured to cause relative rotation of the first coupling part and the second coupling part. A user interface is configured to cause the coupling device to tight-couple and uncouple and/or a beverage delivery to start and stop in response to sensed actions or forces.
THERMALLY UNCONDITIONED BEVERAGE PREPARATION MACHINE
A machine (1) for preparing a beverage (3) has a beverage processing unit (10, 20) formed of a first processing unit member (10) and a second processing unit member (20) that delimit a chamber (21) and that are movable between a distant configuration in which a flavouring ingredient (2) is received in the chamber (21) and a proximate configuration in which the flavouring ingredient (2) is held and mixed with water (4) in the chamber (21). The machine includes: a water source for delivering the water (4) towards the beverage processing unit (10, 20); and a water guide (30) extending from the water source into the beverage processing unit (10, 20) arranged such that substantially all the water (4) delivered into the chamber (21) for preparing the beverage (3) is guided by the water guide (30). The water source and the water guide (30) are thermally passive so as to deliver the water (4) into the chamber (21) unconditioned by any active thermal conditioner of such machine (1).
Coffee holder and coffee maker combination for tamping coffee
A coffee maker and coffee holder cooperate to tamp coffee in the coffee holder. The coffee holder may include a top tamping spring, a bottom tamping spring, or a top or bottom passage allowing entry of a tamper into the coffee holder. The coffee maker includes an actuator above or below the coffee holder, or a fixed tamper attached to a ceiling or platform of the coffee maker. The coffee holder may be inserted between the ceiling and platform, or into a moving drawer of the coffee maker. The actuator may be a solenoid actuator or a hydraulic actuator actuated by water pressure of heated water used for brewing.
Electric Espresso Coffee Machine Equipped and Conceived to Also Dispense American Coffee
Coffee machine having a water system in which pressurized hot water circulates, at least one dispensing unit fed with pressurized hot water, a first filter holder housing a first filter for the preparation of espresso coffee, a second filter for the preparation of American coffee, having a funnel-shaped basket which with an upper collar with a cylindrical shape, which is inferiorly joined with a conical hopper perforated with a plurality of holes.
Infuser implement and method of manufacture
A disposable infusing implement for preparing infused beverages, and method of manufacturing the implement. The implement has on its distal end a separately releasable, permeable textile container which holds an apportioned measure of infusible, dried solids such as tea or coffee. The proximal end of the member serves as a handle for directing the distal end into a vessel of liquid, where it can be agitated to aid in steeping tea or ground coffee. After steeping/infusion, the permeable textile container portion may be disposed of and the handle used again. The textile container's permeable cup part is heated and pressed in a die. Infusible, granulated, dried solids such as coffee or tea are apportioned to fill the permeable chamber, and then a lid and flange are pressed atop to fixedly adhere to the permeable textile container, allowing the implement to be packed, formed and sealed from one side.
BEVERAGE DISPENSING ASSEMBLY FOR AN APPLIANCE
A beverage dispensing assembly may include a dispenser body, one or more flanges, a brew module, and a water delivery system. The dispenser body may define a dispenser recess. The flanges may extend from and below an upper wall. The brew module may be selectively installed within the dispenser recess and define a brew chamber therein. The brew module may include one or more rails movably received on the one or more flanges to support the brew module within the dispenser recess. The water delivery system may be mounted to the dispenser body in selective engagement with the brew module. The water delivery system may include a delivery nozzle and a biasing spring. The delivery nozzle may be slidably attached to the upper wall and axially slidable between a lowered position and an elevated position. The biasing spring may motivate the delivery nozzle toward the lowered position.
Coffee grinding apparatus with portafilter holder assembly
A coffee grinding apparatus includes a removable holder assembly having first and second arms that are spaced-apart from one another to define an open receiving area therebetween. The arms each include upper and lower tabs that extend inwardly into the open receiving area first and second distances, respectively. The first and second distances of the upper and lower tabs are configured to retain and support portafilter assemblies of various sizes for filling with coffee grounds using the coffee grinder apparatus. Another holder assembly for use with the coffee grinding apparatus may include opposed abutment surfaces for engaging inner and outer surfaces of a cup portion of various sized portafilter assemblies. Each disclosed holder assembly is configured to attach to a pedestal portion of the coffee grinding apparatus in use, and can be stored in a support base of the coffee grinding apparatus when not in use.
Beverage press and pressure-activated filter assembly
A beverage press is described which includes a pressure-activated valve in a pressurized brewing chamber. The pressure-activated valve opens when pressure within the chamber rises above a cracking pressure. A filter in the brewing chamber may filter out solids while passing liquids out of the pressure-activated valve. In some embodiments, a high-pressure beverage filter assembly is disclosed which is configured to mate to a beverage press. Also disclosed is an integrated beverage press incorporating a high-pressure beverage filter assembly and features of a beverage press in a single unit.
