A contact toaster includes a vertically arranged central platen with a first toasting surface that is contoured and a second toasting surface. A heating element is configured to heat the first and second toasting surfaces. A first compression plate is spaced apart from the first toasting surface to define a first slot between the first compression plate and the first toasting surface. A second compression plate spaced apart from the second toasting surface to define a second slot between the second compression plate and the second toasting surface. The first compression plate and the second compression plate are selectively movable from respective first positions away from the central platen to respective second positions proximate to the central platen.

TOASTER FOR BREAD AND TORTILLA FLAT BREAD
20210282593 · 2021-09-16 ·

The invention belongs to the field of kitchen electronic appliances, more specifically speaking food toasters. The invention shows a bread and tortillas toaster with a leaning angle that can vary from a rank between 45° and 89° with respect to a horizontal base (11), such leaning helps to distribute a portion of the weight of at least one tortilla (14) on an inferior grid (16). The bread slices or tortillas (14) rest on a main support base (20) with curved tabs that assemble a “V” shape (21) on the side of the inferior grid (16) and straight tabs (21′) on the side of the superior grid (17). The curved tabs (21) can guide, thanks to their curved shape, the circumference of the tortilla to avoid folding or breaking. The food item is pressed between the grids (16) (17) putting the inferior axis together (22) (22′) and then the superior axis (23) (23′) of both grids keeping a soft and thin food item from folding.

Toaster dripping tray

A toaster dripping tray is placed within a traditionally configured toaster and removably disposed there beneath. The tray covers the entire bottom of the toaster. When incorporated into a toaster, the normally present dripping channel gate resting above the narrow dripping removal tray is not present.

TOASTER DEVICE

Systems, methods, and devices may include a toaster device. The toaster may include a toaster body having a housing having a top outer surface, a bottom outer surface, and a side outer surface extending between the top and bottom outer surfaces. The toaster device may include a control system comprising a power supply and a switch configured to cut power to the heating element when in a cut-power state. The toaster device may include a toaster cover comprising an actuation element. The toaster cover may be alterable between a detached state in which the toaster cover is separated and remote from the toaster body and an assembled state in which the toaster cover rests atop the toaster body to cover the bread slot and the actuation element of the toaster cover actuates the switch into the cut-power state.

Toaster with mechanical delay shut-off mechanism
11019961 · 2021-06-01 · ·

A shut-off mechanism for a toaster includes a damper arm pivotally mounted on a frame that includes a damper unit. The damper unit including (a) a cavity in which a viscous fluid is stored, (b) a rotor that resides partially in the cavity and partially outside of the cavity, the viscous fluid resisting rotation of the rotor relative to the cavity, and (c) an engagement member attached to the rotor that engages a track on the frame. The damper arm is movable between a deactivated position and an activated position. An electrical switch configured to engage an electrical contact when the damper arm is in the activated position and to disengage from the electrical contact when the damper arm is in the deactivated position.

A shut-off mechanism for a toaster includes: a frame having a base, a vertical wall and a track with opposed first and second ends; a damper arm pivotally mounted on the frame that includes a damper unit attached to one end of the damper arm, the damper unit including (a) a cavity in which a viscous fluid is stored, (b) a rotor that resides partially in the cavity and partially outside of the cavity, the viscous fluid resisting rotation of the rotor relative to the cavity, and (c) an engagement member attached to the rotor that engages the track on the frame, wherein the damper arm is movable between a deactivated position, in which the damper unit is adjacent the first end of the track, and an activated position, in which the damper unit is adjacent the second end of the track; a first biasing member that biases the damper arm toward the deactivated position; a cocking member pivotally attached to the frame and positioned between the damper arm and the vertical wall of the frame, the cocking member movable between a toasting position and a rest position, wherein movement of the cocking member from the rest position to the toasting position moves the damper arm from the deactivated position to the activated position; and an electrical switch positioned and configured to engage an electrical contact when the damper arm is in the activated position and to disengage from the electrical contact when the damper arm is in the deactivated position.

TOASTER WITH STEAM SYSTEM
20200253411 · 2020-08-13 ·

A toaster with a steam system comprises a casing and a chassis. A slot for a bread slice is defined by the chassis. A pop-up mechanism is within the casing and supported by the chassis, the pop-up mechanism configured for supporting a bread slice received via the at least one slot, and for raising the bread slice to project partially out of the slot at an end of a toasting/steaming process. Heating element(s) in the casing are for generating toasting heat. A steam system within the casing is configured for producing steam and feeding the steam to a steam vessel in the chassis during the toasting/steaming process. A closing system has flap(s) to close the at least one slot during the toasting/steaming process, and to open the at least one slot at completion of the toasting/steaming process.

TOASTER WITH ADJUSTABLE CONVEYOR

A conveyor toaster includes a conveyor assembly with a bracket and a conveyor belt. The conveyor belt rotates about first and second gears. A drive motor operates to move the conveyor belt about the first and second gears. A platen is configured to be heated and is positioned relative to the conveyor belt. A mounting bracket is connected to the bracket of the conveyor assembly. Movement of the mounting bracket changes the position of the conveyor assembly relative to the platen.
