The stopper may be opened by pressing a button disposed on a side of the beverage container closure. The stopper is subsequently automatically closed when the button is released. The beverage container closure includes an actuating lever configured to press the button when a user applies a force to the lever. By utilizing the mechanical advantage provided by the lever, a user is able to selectively open and close the stopper using a relatively low amount of force.

The lid is able to be placed on a receiving portion of the container and is held in the closed position by means of a detent.

A container sealing assembly is provided. The container sealing assembly includes a cap configured to attach to a container body and including a sealing rib and a unitary compliant sealing valve having a continuous shape and movable between a sealed position and an open position. The lid includes a tubular seal with a flexible perimeter seal wall attached between upper and lower seal carriers, a lifter member attached to the lower seal carrier and a cam member to control movement of the lower seal carrier relative to the upper seal carrier and thereby laterally flex and axially move the perimeter seal wall and move the lid between closed and opened positions where the lid is retained within the drink container against removal, and a removal position permitting removal of the lid for washing the lid and drink container.
