A container has a chamber and a phase change material (PCM) that can remove heat from the chamber. The container can have a thermal conductor movably coupled in the container between a retracted position and a deployed position, where in the deployed position, while on a heat sink unit, the thermal conductor can draw heat from the PCM to solidify or charge the PCM, which can then maintain the chamber in a chilled state for a prolonged period of time. The container can have one or more heating elements in thermal communication with the chamber and operable to add heat to the chamber to increase or maintain a temperature of the chamber in a heated state for a prolonged period of time.
PORTABLE FOOD STORAGE AND PREPARATION DEVICE
The portable food storage and preparation device provides food storage and preparation facilities in a wheeled enclosure. The device has a portable power supply, a controller, a refrigerating module, a food heating module, and a beverage module. The refrigerating module is able to maintain food chilled either with chill packs or a refrigeration unit. The beverage module has a first water storage tank and a water heater, and water from the beverage module can be supplied to food being heated or cooked in the food heating module.

As an example, a vacuum vessel can include a shell including a continuous surface layer with a shell locking portion, a liner including a continuous surface layer with a liner locking portion, where the liner locking portion and the shell locking portion interlock the shell and the liner and include a first sealant layer and a second sealant layer disposed along an interface between the continuous surface layer of the shell and the continuous surface layer of the liner.

A beverage dispensing machine (e.g., coffee maker) has a cooling unit. The cooling unit includes a thermal mass. The cooling unit is operable to freeze at least a portion of the thermal mass to provide a cold storage reservoir. The cooling unit also includes a passageway within which a brewed beverage flows, the passageway being in thermal communication with the thermal mass that cools the brewed beverage as it flows within the passageway to chill the brewed beverage before it is dispensed.

Coupling and closing means of the container upper and lower portions have a first thread engaging with the container upper portion thread, a second thread engaging with the container lower portion thread, and breaking means for breaking the container lower and upper portion membranes.
