A blender system that includes a base that is select ively and operatively engaged with a container is shown and described herein. The base may include a near field communications chip that may communicate with a near field communications chip of a container. The base also includes a motor that is selectively and operatively engaged with a blade disposed within the container.

Proposed is a blender, in which a blender body operates when closure of the container lid on a container body is detected. In the blender, when the closure of the container lid is detected, power is transmitted from a first inductive coil of the blender body to a second inductive coil of the container body. A transmission module of the container body transmits a signal to a receiving module of the blender body by suing the power transmitted to the second inductive coil. When the signal is received by the receiving module, the blender body detects the closure of the container lid and is operated.

Proposed is a blender, in which a main body operates when a closure of the container lid on a container body is detected. In the blender according to the present disclosure, when the closure of the container lid is detected, a voltage of a preset signal pattern is applied to the first inductive coil of the main body, and the voltage is transferred to the second inductive coil of the container body by inductive coupling with the first inductive coil. The light emitting unit of the container body transmits a light signal to the light receiving unit of the main body by using the voltage transmitted to the second inductive coil, and the light signal has the signal pattern. When the light receiving unit receives the light signal of the signal pattern, the main body recognizes the closure of the container lid on the container body so that that the main body operates.

A food preparation appliance includes a food preparation vessel, a lid, an attachment part, a locking device, and a plurality of sensors. The lid may be placed on the food preparation vessel. The attachment part may be placed on the food preparation vessel instead of the lid. The locking device is for locking the lid placed on the food preparation vessel and for locking the attachment part placed on the food preparation vessel.

Proposed is a blender in which regardless of the mounting direction of a container lid, the closing of the container lid is accurately recognized. The blender includes a container body in which food is received, a main body provided under the container body and configured to support the container body, the container lid mounted detachably to an upper surface of the container body and configured to open and close the upper surface of the container body, and a detection system configured to detect whether the container lid is mounted to the container body, wherein the detection system includes a permanent magnet and a Hall sensor, the permanent magnet and the Hall sensor being provided on the container lid and a side of the container body, respectively, or the Hall sensor and the permanent magnet being provided on the container lid and a side of the container body, respectively.

Proposed is a blender in which when the closure of a container lid of a container body is detected, a main body operates. In the blender, when the closure of the container lid of the container body is detected, current is transmitted from a first conductor set of the main body to a second conductor set of the container body, and when the current transmitted through the second conductor set is detected, the main body recognizes the closure of the container lid of the container body and operates.

A kitchen appliance a bowl; a lid arranged to be fitable to the bowl; a seal arranged to be fitted between the lid and the bowl when the lid is fitted to the bowl; and a safety device arranged to allow operation of the kitchen appliance only when both the lid is fitted to the bowl and the seal is fitted between the lid and the bowl.

Proposed is a blender, in which a main body operates when a closure of a container lid on a container body is detected. In the blender according to the present disclosure, when the closure of the container lid is detected, a voltage is transferred from a first inductive coil of the main body to a second inductive coil of the container body. By using the voltage transferred to the second inductive coil, a light emitting unit of the container body transmits a light signal to a light receiving unit of the main body, and the light signal has a predetermined signal pattern. When the light receiving unit receives the light signal of the signal pattern, the main body recognizes the closure of the container lid on the container body such that the main body operates.

A food processor is provided which includes a container, a blade assembly, and a base arranged such that the container is coupleable to the base. The base includes a housing and a motor configured to drive the blade assembly. The food processor further includes an actuator included with the container moveable between a first position and a second, extended position. When the container is coupled to the base and the actuator is in the second, extended position, the actuator is configured to actuate a switch to permit activation of the motor, and the base is constructed such that the container can be coupled to the base when the actuator is in the second, extended position.

An accessory for use with a container of a food processing system includes a body positionable within a base of the food processing system, said body having a first side and a second side, an opening formed in said body, a member configurable with said opening to selectively seal said opening, said member being arranged at said second side of said body, a vacuum sealing assembly for sealing a chamber of the container, and a release mechanism operable to selectively fluidly couple said chamber to an ambient atmosphere.
