A toilet seat assembly is for a toilet and includes a hinge post configured to be coupled to the toilet, and a toilet seat rotatably coupled to the hinge post and defining a bottom surface. The toilet seat includes a ring having a support surface opposite the bottom surface and configured to support a person when sitting on the toilet, a first wing extending from a first side of the ring, and a second wing extending from a second side of the ring opposite the first side. The toilet seat assembly further includes a first handle extending upwardly from the first wing and oriented perpendicularly relative to the bottom surface of the toilet seat, and a second handle extending upwardly from the second wing and oriented perpendicularly relative to the bottom surface of the toilet seat. The first and second handles are configured to be gripped by the person.

Improved toilet apparatus and accessories are provided. The smart toilet system comprises components to enhance the functionality and use of existing toilets or new toilets. The smart toilet system comprises components designed to be fit in, on, above, or under a toilet seat, or to replace a toilet seat, bidet components, health monitoring components, ventilation or hygiene components, and communications and/or control components.

An improved toiled system including a urine receptacle with a guide channel is provided, said guide channel having an inlet port that is configured to be positioned closer to the user's point of urination, such that the user may urinate into the inlet port with a greater degree of comfort that a higher percentage of said user's urine will be contained into the urine receptacle. The guide channel is configured to be moved from a retracted to an extended position, said extended position being to allow for use by the user, and said retracted position being to allow for storage of the guide channel out of the way when not being used. In one configuration a toilet with a seat may be used in its conventional manner when said guide channel is in said retracted position. Another significant feature is the use of a return feature, which causes the lid to be in the up position, and the seat in the down position, after use by the user, for the convenience of the next user. When this feature is used with the above retraction/extension position, it solves the issue of a woman wanting the toilet seat down with very little effort to the man because it automatically returns everything to the seated position for a woman simply by the man releasing the handles or foot pedal.

A toilet seat manipulation system includes a toilet that has a lid and a seat. Each of the lid and the seat is hingedly coupled to the toilet. A gripping unit is selectively coupled to the seat. The gripping unit is gripped thereby inhibiting the seat from being touched. The gripping unit removably engages the lid when the each of the lid and the seat is positioned in an open position. Thus, the seat is selectively retained in the open position.

A retrofittable commode attachment device that automatically measures and charts electronically one or more types of health data. The device includes a base platform with a back portion, a left side portion, a right side portion and a front portion, a plurality of load cells on the left side of the base platform and a plurality of load cells on the right side of the base platform, at least one microphone, at least one camera, and at least two commode connector brackets that engage the horizontal support of a commode and the base platform is positioned below the toilet seat of the commode and is not part of the toilet seat.

The present invention relates to a support device for assisting a user in showering or toileting. The support device comprises a seat comprising a seating surface for supporting a weight of the user; a plurality of legs attached to the seat; a pair of handles configured to attach to substantially opposite side portions of the seat, each handle comprising a pair of end portions for attaching to the seat; and a securing element for securing each handle to the seat; wherein each of the substantially opposite side portions of the seat comprises a plurality of receptacles for snugly fitting the end portions of a respective handle, and wherein the support device is configured such that a portion of the user's weight on the handles of the support device applies a force that has a force component directed into each receptacle and parallel to a central axis of each receptacle.

A self-lifting toilet seat system includes a toilet seat configured to be sat upon by a user. The system has a hinge configured to rotatably couple the toilet seat and a toilet bowl. The hinge is configured so that the toilet seat is transitionable from an up position to a down position. A lifting system is configured to raise the toilet seat towards the up position. A sealed hinge housing has at least a portion of a delay system therein. The delay system is configured to cause a time delay before the lifting system causes the toilet seat to self-lift towards the up position. The delay system is configured so that the time delay begins after removal of a threshold downward force on the toilet seat.
