ORBITAL SURFACE CLEANING APPARATUS
A floor cleaning and polishing device has a polishing pad for a surface which is rotationally engaged upon a pad driver operatively engaged to a frame. A first set of wheels on the frame allow for tilted movement. A second set of wheels are positionable to a deployed position to elevate the first set of wheels from the surface and position the polishing pad parallel to the surface. The device may have a light projector engageable for light disinfecting. The polishing pads are configured with a plurality of polishing fabric sections separated by recesses therebetween.
Attachment for a Cleaning Device with Moisture Detection and Method for Moisture Detection
The invention relates to a cleaning device, in particular a suction wiper, having a housing with at least one cleaning medium for receiving a cleaning agent, having a cleaning medium carrier for receiving the cleaning medium, having a drive for driving the cleaning medium carrier and having a controller. At least one vibration sensor for detecting a strength of a vibration is arranged in the housing and the controller is designed to determine the moisture of the cleaning medium, the controller evaluating a change in the strength of the vibration. The invention also relates to a method for operating a cleaning device.
Autonomous coverage robot
A surface treatment robot includes a chassis having forward and rear ends and a drive system carried by the chassis. The drive system includes right and left driven wheels and is configured to maneuver the robot over a cleaning surface. The robot includes a vacuum assembly, a collection volume, a supply volume, an applicator, and a wetting element, each carried by the chassis. The wetting element engages the cleaning surface to distribute a cleaning liquid applied to the surface by the applicator. The wetting element distributes the cleaning liquid along at least a portion of the cleaning surface when the robot is driven in a forward direction. The wetting element is arranged substantially forward of a transverse axis defined by the right and left driven wheels, and the wetting element slidably supports at least about ten percent of the mass of the robot above the cleaning surface.
AUTONOMOUS SURFACE CLEANING ROBOT
A mobile floor cleaning robot includes a body defining a forward drive direction, a drive system, a cleaning system, and a controller. The cleaning system includes a pad holder, a reservoir, a sprayer, and a cleaning system. The pad holder has a bottom surface for receiving a cleaning pad. The reservoir holds a volume of fluid, and the sprayer sprays the fluid forward the pad holder. The controller is in communication with the drive and cleaning systems. The controller executes a cleaning routine that includes driving in the forward direction a first distance to a first location, then driving in a reverse drive direction a second distance to a second location. From the second location, the robot sprays fluid in the forward drive direction but rearward the first location. The robot then drives in alternating forward and reverse drive directions while smearing the cleaning pad along the floor surface.
AUTONOMOUS COVERAGE ROBOT SENSING
An autonomous coverage robot detection system includes an emitter configured to emit a directed beam, a detector configured to detect the directed beam and a controller configured to direct the robot in response to a signal detected by the detector. In some examples, the detection system detects a stasis condition of the robot. In some examples, the detection system detects a wall and can follow the wall in response to the detected signal.
ROBOTIC FLOOR CLEANING DEVICE WITH CONTROLLED LIQUID RELEASE MECHANISM
A robotic floor cleaning device that features a controlled liquid releasing mechanism. A rotatable cylinder with at least one aperture for storing a limited quantity of liquid is connected to a non-propelling wheel of the robotic floor cleaning device. There is a passage below the cylinder and between the cylinder and a drainage mechanism. The cylinder is within or adjacent to a liquid reservoir. Each time an aperture is exposed to the liquid within the reservoir it fills with liquid. As the wheel turns the connected cylinder is rotated until the aperture is adjacent to the passage. The liquid in the aperture will flow through the passage and enter the drainage mechanism which disperses the liquid to the working surface. The release of liquid is halted when the connected wheel stops turning.
Mobile floor cleaning robot with pad holder
A pad particularly adapted for surface cleaning. The pad includes an absorbent core having the ability to absorb and retain liquid material, and a liner layer in contact with and covering at least one side of the absorbent core. The liner layer has the ability to retain and wick liquid material through the liner layer. Cleaning apparatus containing such pads and methods of using such pads are also described.
Compact autonomous coverage robot
An autonomous coverage robot includes a chassis having forward and rearward portions and a drive system carried by the chassis. The forward portion of the chassis defines a substantially rectangular shape. The robot includes a cleaning assembly mounted on the forward portion of the chassis and a bin disposed adjacent the cleaning assembly and configured to receive debris agitated by the cleaning assembly. A bin cover is pivotally attached to a lower portion of the chassis and configured to rotate between a first, closed position providing closure of an opening defined by the bin and a second, open position providing access to the bin opening. The robot includes a body attached to the chassis and a handle disposed on an upper portion of the body. A bin cover release is actuatable from substantially near the handle.
System for automatically cleaning a surface of a floor and a floor provided with such a system
The invention relates to a system (1) for automatically cleaning a surface of a floor, comprising a cleaning element (10). The system is arranged for moving the cleaning element relative to the floor between a rest position and a position of use, in which the cleaning element is moveable across the floor surface. The cleaning element (10) is received in the floor in the rest position. The system (1) further comprises a guiding element (20) on which the cleaning element (10) is movable. Adjacent to the guiding element (20) floorplates (100) are arranged such that gutters (102) are defined between the floorplates (100) and the guiding element (20) The invention also relates to a floor provided with the system (10) according to the invention.
