Systems and methods include a high dump hopper system wherein a debris hopper can be split into two hoppers for positioning adjacent a wheel of the floor cleaning machine. The hoppers, split or not, can be located near the front of the machine such that the overall length of the floor cleaning machine need not be extended. A splitter can be positioned proximate the floor cleaning mechanism to drive debris into the split hoppers. The hoppers, split or not, can be coupled to a common lifting system that can pull the hoppers out from under a chassis of the floor cleaning machine and then upwards for positioning relative to a refuse container. Furthermore, the orientation of the hoppers can be controlled to position openings for the hoppers in a desired location to prevent spilling and facilitate emptying.

The present disclosure relates to the field of smart home technology and proposes a base station and a cleaning robot system. A base station applicable to clean a cleaning mechanism of a cleaning robot includes a cleaning tank, configured to accommodate at least part of the cleaning mechanism and clean the at least part of the cleaning mechanism, the cleaning tank includes a first end face and a second end face, a direction of a connection line between the first end face and the second end face is substantially parallel to an extension direction of the cleaning mechanism. A cleaning robot system is further provided.

A cleaner head for a cleaning appliance including a housing having a front side, a rear side, and first and second sides which extend between the front side and the rear side, the housing further including a floor facing surface which extends between the front side, rear side and first and second sides which, in use, faces a surface to be cleaned. A floor engaging device is connected to the floor facing surface of the housing and which extends laterally between the first and second sides of the housing, said floor engaging device including a first portion for absorbing liquid from a surface to be cleaned; and a second portion positioned closer to either a front side or a rear side of the housing, said second portion being relatively stiff compared to the first portion.

A cleaner head for a cleaning appliance including an agitator rotatable about an axis; a housing having a front side, a rear side, and first and second sides which extend between the front side and rear side, said housing further including a floor facing surface. The housing defines a chamber which at least partially surrounds the agitator, the chamber having a dirty air inlet and a dirty air outlet. A wiper device which extends laterally between the first and second sides of the housing and is positioned on or adjacent the floor facing surface. A floor engaging device extends laterally between the first and second sides of the housing and is positioned on or adjacent the floor facing surface. The floor engaging device includes an absorbent portion. The wiper device and the floor engaging device are positioned rearwardly of the dirty air inlet.

A surface cleaning machine includes: a suction device; a cleaning base suitable for moving on a surface to be cleaned, the cleaning base comprising a cleaning roller capable of rotating; a cleaning liquid supply unit; and a dirty liquid recovery tank, the dirty liquid recovery tank being in fluid communication with the suction device; where the cleaning base further includes a transfer chamber adjacent to the rear side of the cleaning roller and capable of temporarily holding a solid-liquid mixture, the transfer chamber configured to be in fluid communication with the suction device, so that the surface cleaning machine can transfer at least a part of liquid or at least a part of a solid-liquid mixture from the transfer chamber to the dirty liquid recovery tank by means of the suction device, thereby achieving a low energy consumption operation.

The present disclosure provides a surface cleaning apparatus that mechanically removes liquid and debris from a brushroll and stores the mechanically-removed liquid and debris onboard the apparatus in a first collection area. The surface cleaning apparatus also collects further liquid and debris from the brushroll by a source of suction including a vacuum motor or a pump and stores the collected liquid and debris onboard the apparatus in a second collection area.

A surface cleaning apparatus is provided with a fluid delivery system for delivering a cleaning fluid to the surface to be cleaned. The flow controller includes an adjustable valve and is configured for operating in a first mode of operation that supplies the fluid to the fluid distributor at a first volumetric flow rate; a second mode of operation that supplies the fluid to the fluid distributor at a second volumetric flow rate that is lower than the first volumetric flow rate; and a third mode of operation that supplies the fluid to the fluid distributor at a third volumetric flow rate that is lower than the second volumetric flow rate.

The present disclosure provides a floor cleaner that includes a replaceable component, such as a filter. The floor cleaner has a detection mechanism comprising a magnet on the replaceable component and a Hall Effect sensor positioned to detect the permanent magnet when the replaceable component is correctly installed on the floor cleaner. Operation of one or more electrically-powered components of the floor cleaner is prevented when the permanent magnet is not detected by the Hall Effect sensor.

A surface cleaning apparatus includes a recovery tank, a suction nozzle in fluid communication with the recovery tank, and a suction source in fluid communication with the suction nozzle and the recovery tank to generate a working air path to transport debris-containing fluid including air and liquid from the suction nozzle into the recovery tank. An air/liquid separator can be provided within the recovery tank for separating liquid from air in the debris-containing fluid.
