The present invention relates to systems and methods for cleaning materials, such as flooring and upholstery. In some cases, the systems and methods use an electrolytic cell to electrolyze a solution comprising sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium acetate, sodium percarbonate, potassium carbonate, potassium bicarbonate, and/or any other suitable chemical to generate electrolyzed alkaline water and/or electrolyzed oxidizing water. In some cases, the cell comprises a recirculation loop that recirculates anolyte through an anode compartment of the cell. In some cases, the cell further comprises a senor and a processor, where the processor is configured to automatically change an operation of the cell, based on a reading from the sensor. In some cases, a fluid flows past a magnet before entering the cell.

In some additional cases, fluid from the cell is conditioned by being split into multiple conduits that run in proximity to each other. Additional implementations are described.

A surface cleaning apparatus having an upright assembly, a power source, and a coiled electrical cable. The upright assembly including a frame and a telescoping handle at last partially extending from the frame and movable between an extended position and a contracted position. The coiled electrical cable being provided within a portion of the telescoping handle and configured to uncoil or coil when the telescoping handle is moved between the extended position and the contracted position.

A cleaner head for a cleaning appliance including an agitator rotatable about an axis; a housing having a front side, a rear side, and first and second sides which extend between the front side and rear side, said housing further including a floor facing surface. The housing defines a chamber which at least partially surrounds the agitator, the chamber having a dirty air inlet and a dirty air outlet. A wiper device which extends laterally between the first and second sides of the housing and is positioned on or adjacent the floor facing surface. A floor engaging device extends laterally between the first and second sides of the housing and is positioned on or adjacent the floor facing surface. The floor engaging device includes an absorbent portion. The wiper device and the floor engaging device are positioned rearwardly of the dirty air inlet.

A surface cleaning apparatus adapted for wet cleaning includes a heated fluid delivery system having a dual-phase distributor that dispenses heated liquid and steam vapor. The dual-phase distributor can include a phase separator that separates a vapor phase of a heated fluid from a liquid phase of the heated fluid, a heated liquid outlet, and a steam vapor outlet. The apparatus can further include a liquid delivery system, and/or a recovery system.

The present disclosure provides a surface cleaning apparatus that includes steam delivery. The apparatus includes a hand-carried body adapted to be hand carried by a user, the hand-carried body having a main housing, a supply tank, and a heater. A flexible hose is mounted to the hand-carried body and a hand-held cleaning tool mounted to an end of the hose. The tool has a liquid distributor to deliver liquid cleaning fluid and a steam distributor to deliver steam. Various features for controlling the operation of electrical component of the extraction cleaner are disclosed.

The present disclosure provides a surface cleaning apparatus that includes steam delivery. The apparatus includes a hand-carried body adapted to be hand carried by a user, the hand-carried body having a main housing, a supply tank, and a heater. A flexible hose is mounted to the hand-carried body and a hand-held cleaning tool mounted to an end of the hose. The tool has a liquid distributor to deliver liquid cleaning fluid and a steam distributor to deliver steam. A surface cleaning apparatus is provided with a fluid delivery system for delivering a cleaning fluid to the surface to be cleaned. The fluid delivery system includes one or more fluid supply tanks for storing a supply of cleaning fluid, a fluid distributor for applying the cleaning fluid to the surface to be cleaned, and a fluid supply conduit for delivering the cleaning fluid from the fluid supply tank to the fluid distributor.

An ultrasonic cleaning tool for cleaning a surface has a transducer and a horn for generating and transmitting vibrations to a surface to be cleaned. Cleaning solution can be supplied to the ultrasonic cleaning tool or the surface to be cleaned, and operation of the ultrasonic cleaning tool can agitate the surface and cleaning solution. The tool can be provided as part of a system for cleaning a surface, and the system can include an extraction cleaner or a cleaning cloth.

An extractor includes a fluid recovery system including a suction nozzle, a recovery tank assembly, and a suction source having an inlet fluidly connected to the recovery tank assembly and the suction nozzle through an air conduit and adapted to draw liquid through the suction nozzle and deposit the liquid in the recovery tank assembly. The extractor includes a body provided with the air conduit for movement between a first position wherein suction is unreduced and a second position wherein suction is reduced. The extractor includes a fluid delivery system including a solution supply tank assembly, a fluid distributor, and a conduit for depositing fluid onto a surface. The extractor includes a hydraulic connector operably coupled to the body and adapted to move the body between the first and second positions.
