Pressure Wall for a Fluid Pump and a Pump Including the Pressure Wall
The present invention relates to a pressure wall for a centrifugal pump for fluid having substantially the shape of a disc, the disc-shaped pressure wall having a central axis, the pressure wall comprising: a top surface; and a bottom surface opposing the top surface; wherein the top surface includes an inner surface section and an outer surface section, wherein the inner surface section extends radially from the central axis and is recessed to form a central recess; and wherein the outer surface section includes an inner circumferential edge portion and an outer circumferential edge portion, wherein the inner circumferential edge portion is located closer to the central axis than the outer circumferential edge portion, and wherein the outer circumferential edge portion is located higher than the inner circumferential edge portion with respect to a plane perpendicular to the central axis and passing through the inner circumferential edge portion.
DISHWASHING APPLIANCE CLOGGED DRAIN LINE PREVENTION
A dishwashing appliance includes a tub defining a wash chamber therein for receipt of articles for washing, a heating element, a sump positioned at a bottom of the wash chamber for receiving fluid from the wash chamber, a drain pump in communication with the sump, and a temperature sensor. Methods of operating the dishwashing appliance may include filling the sump with a liquid and heating the liquid by activating the heating element. Such methods also may include measuring a temperature of a liquid in the sump with the temperature sensor and comparing the measured temperature of the liquid to a minimum drain temperature threshold. Such methods may include draining the liquid from the sump after the measured temperature is equal to or greater than the minimum drain temperature threshold, such as immediately after heating the liquid.
DISHWASHER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
Disclosed herein is a dishwasher including a main body provided with an open hole and a washing tub; a door configured to open or close the open hole; a door opening/closing member configured to open or close the open hole; an air curtain disposed in the main body, to operate a fan such that ambient air is sucked and the sucked air is discharged; a detector configured to detect information of the fan; and a controller configured to diagnose the failure of the fan based on the detected information of the fan, to control an operation of the door opening/closing member such that the door is opened at a predetermined open time and an open time of the door is delayed when the fan is a failure state, and to control an operation of the fan when the fan is a normal state during a drying operation.
Dishwasher comprising a sensor unit for determinig a rotation movement of a spray arm
The invention proposes a dishwasher comprising a working chamber (2), comprising at least one spray arm (5, 6) which is arranged in a rotatable manner in the working chamber (2), and comprising a metering apparatus (9) for supplying and metering a substance, such as detergent, rinse aid etc., into the working chamber (2), wherein the metering apparatus (9) is designed as an insert part (9) comprising a housing (20, 21) for insertion into a recess in an inner wall (7) of the working chamber (2), for example in the door (7) of the warning chamber (2), and comprising a sensor unit (27, 28) for identifying a spray arm movement in the working chamber (2) of the dishwasher, which sensor unit is arranged at least partially in a housing (20, 21) of the metering apparatus (6), wherein the dishwasher has improved program control. According to the invention, this is achieved in that at least one inlet opening (17) in an interior (22) of the metering apparatus (9) is arranged at least partially in the jet (23) of water/liquid from a spray nozzle (24) of the spray arm (5, 6) during the rotation of the spray arm (5, 6), wherein the sensor unit (27, 28) is arranged at least partially in the/on the interior (22) and/or on a wall of the interior (22).
Turbidity Sensor Assembly Including an Integral Water Level Indicator
A turbidity sensor assembly for a dishwasher appliance is provided. The turbidity sensor assembly measures the turbidity of wash fluid in a manner similar to conventional turbidity sensors, but also includes an integral water level indicator. The water level indicator is an opaque buoyant ball that rises and falls with the water level to provide a water level indication that can be used to shut off the drain pump when the sump is empty. More specifically, when the water level drops below a predetermined level, the opaque ball blocks the transmission of light between the emitter and receiver of the turbidity sensor, thus indicating that the sump is almost empty. As a result, the pump operating during a drain cycle need only operate long enough to drain the sump, and this may be achieved without an additional measuring device or complicated control system.
DISHWASHER WITH IMAGE-BASED DIAGNOSTICS
A dishwasher and method utilize an imaging system to perform various diagnostic operations within the dishwasher, including one or more of level sensing, filter cleaning, wash tub rinse down, foam detection, imaging system cleaning, and remote viewing.
DISHWASHER AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING SAME
The present disclosure relates to a dishwasher and a method of controlling the same. The dishwasher may determine an amount of foam in a wash space using a turbidity sensor measuring a turbidity value of wash water. Additionally, the dishwasher may perform a foam removal operation based on the amount of the foam in the wash space. In this case, the turbidity value measured by the turbidity sensor may be used. The foam removal operation may include a drainage operation, a water supply operation, and a wash operation that are consecutively performed, and may be performed in one or more of a pre-wash course, a main wash course, and a heating and rinsing course.
