Rack adjuster

A system and method for adjusting a dishwasher rack in a dishwasher includes a base, a slider and a lock for raising and lowering a dishwasher basket between an up and down position, respectively. The slider is connected in a fixed engagement with the dishwasher basket. The base includes two or more rollers for engagement with dishwasher slide rails and is slideably engaged relative to the slider. The lock is biased into a locked position when the base is fully upwardly extended relative to the slider and is released to permit the basket to be lowered downwardly.

Retracting dishwasher rack system

A retracting rack for an appliance such as a dish washing appliance. The rack may be positionable between a stowed position and a deployed position. A spring may drive the rack towards the stowed position. A locking mechanism may be used to secure the rack in one or more positions. A release mechanism and/or a reset mechanism may be used to control the retracting cycle of the rack.

The pivot arm arrangement is movable from a lower position to an upper position so as to elevate the rack from the first extracted position to an elevated position. The dishwasher further comprises an actuator assembly transferrable between a first state in which the actuator assembly is configured to cause the pivot arm arrangement to move from the lower position towards the upper position upon movement of the rack to a first extracted position, and a second state in which the actuator assembly is configured to allow movement of the rack in a horizontal direction out from the washing chamber past the first extracted position.

A sliding-pivoting mechanism of a shelf of a piece of furniture or household appliance includes two pivot arms pivotally secured to a body and forming a parallel guide for a pull-out guide having at least one guide rail and a running rail. A locking mechanism is arranged on the guide rail and on one of the pivot arms for preventing a simultaneous pivoting and sliding movement. The locking mechanism has a locking pin moveably arranged on one of the pivot arms, and a locking plate mounted stationarily relative to the guide rail and with which the locking pin cooperates in such a way that a pivoting of the pivot arm is blocked when the shelf is raised into an upper loading and unloading position. An unlocking device is coupled to the locking mechanism and includes an actuation element and an unlocking element, with which the locking pin can be moved out of a blocking position into a release position.
