COLLAPSIBLE RACK FOR DISHWASHER APPLIANCE
A dishwasher appliance including at least one upper rack assembly. Adjacent panels along a transverse direction of the dishwasher appliance form a pivotable connection at the longitudinal sides between adjacent panels that allow adjacent panels to collapse or fold towards each other such that the upper rack assembly may be selectively collapsed or extended along the transverse direction by movement of the plurality of panels towards or away from each other.
DISHWASHER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
Disclosed herein is a dishwasher including a main body provided with an open hole and a washing tub; a door configured to open or close the open hole; a door opening/closing member configured to open or close the open hole; an air curtain disposed in the main body, to operate a fan such that ambient air is sucked and the sucked air is discharged; a detector configured to detect information of the fan; and a controller configured to diagnose the failure of the fan based on the detected information of the fan, to control an operation of the door opening/closing member such that the door is opened at a predetermined open time and an open time of the door is delayed when the fan is a failure state, and to control an operation of the fan when the fan is a normal state during a drying operation.
Turbidity Sensor Assembly Including an Integral Water Level Indicator
A turbidity sensor assembly for a dishwasher appliance is provided. The turbidity sensor assembly measures the turbidity of wash fluid in a manner similar to conventional turbidity sensors, but also includes an integral water level indicator. The water level indicator is an opaque buoyant ball that rises and falls with the water level to provide a water level indication that can be used to shut off the drain pump when the sump is empty. More specifically, when the water level drops below a predetermined level, the opaque ball blocks the transmission of light between the emitter and receiver of the turbidity sensor, thus indicating that the sump is almost empty. As a result, the pump operating during a drain cycle need only operate long enough to drain the sump, and this may be achieved without an additional measuring device or complicated control system.
Fixing assembly
An embodiment of the present invention provides a fixing assembly comprising: a wire rack having a vertical frame and a horizontal frame; a slide rail having a fixed rail coupled to the wire rack, and a movable rail slidably arranged on the fixed rail; and a fixing means for coupling the fixed rail to the wire rack, wherein the fixing means comprises a first fixing clip provided on one side of the fixed rail, and a second fixing clip provided at the other side of the fixed rail, and the first fixing clip is laterally supported on the horizontal frame first, and then the second fixing clip is horizontally fixed to the horizontal frame.
Rack adjuster
A system and method for adjusting a dishwasher rack in a dishwasher includes a base, a slider and a lock for raising and lowering a dishwasher basket between an up and down position, respectively. The slider is connected in a fixed engagement with the dishwasher basket. The base includes two or more rollers for engagement with dishwasher slide rails and is slideably engaged relative to the slider. The lock is biased into a locked position when the base is fully upwardly extended relative to the slider and is released to permit the basket to be lowered downwardly.
DISHWASHER WITH OBJECT RECOGNITION
A dishwasher comprises an image sensor, first and second drawers, first and second actuators configured to respectively extend or retract the first and second drawers, and a computer system. The computer system is configured to receive images from the image sensor, determine whether an object is within a threshold distance, and in response to determining that an object is moved to within the threshold distance, use a washwear recognition system to determine whether the object comprises an washwear item. A determined washwear type and a washwear dimension are used to identify an unoccupied location in of a size and configured suitable to receive the washwear item. In response to identifying an unoccupied location of a size and configured suitable to receive the washwear item, an actuator among the first actuator and the second actuator is caused to extend a corresponding drawer to thereby receive the item of dishware.
BALL BEARING ROLLER ASSEMBLY
One embodiment of the present invention provides a ball bearing roller assembly comprising an inner ring having an insertion hole into which a protrusion of a storage body is inserted; an outer ring having a hollow through which the inner ring is inserted, and provided outside the inner ring, at least one ball bearing provide between the inner ring and the outer ring, and in rolling contact with the inner ring and the outer ring; a cover inserted and coupled to a space between the inner ring and the outer ring, and fixing the ball bearing to the outer circumferential surface of the inner ring and the inner circumferential surface of the outer ring and a detachable coupling portion formed to extend from one end portion of the inner ring, and having an insertion space portion into which a vertical wire of the storage body is inserted.
TUB DEFINING INTEGRAL RACK GUIDES IN A DISHWASHER APPLIANCE
A dishwasher appliance includes a tub defining a wash chamber for receipt of articles for washing and a guide assembly defined by the tub and including an upper guide and a lower guide spaced apart along the vertical direction to define a support groove having a retention geometry proximate a front opening of the tub. A rack is positioned within the support groove and is slidable along the transverse direction between a retracted position and an extended position, the rack defining a rear retention member that engages the upper guide at the retention geometry when the rack reaches the extended position.
Basket for a dish washing appliance
A basket for an appliance such as a dish washing appliance. A rack may be positionable between a stowed position and a deployed position. The rack may include a secondary rack positionable between a stowed position and a deployed position relative to the rack. The secondary rack may include the basket. The basket may be positionable to one or more walls of the dishwasher tub between a stowed position and a deployed position. The basket may be removable from one or more racks and/or the one or more walls of the dishwasher tub.
