A dishwashing appliance includes a tub defining a wash chamber therein for receipt of articles for washing, a heating element, a sump positioned at a bottom of the wash chamber for receiving fluid from the wash chamber, a drain pump in communication with the sump, and a temperature sensor. Methods of operating the dishwashing appliance may include filling the sump with a liquid and heating the liquid by activating the heating element. Such methods also may include measuring a temperature of a liquid in the sump with the temperature sensor and comparing the measured temperature of the liquid to a minimum drain temperature threshold. Such methods may include draining the liquid from the sump after the measured temperature is equal to or greater than the minimum drain temperature threshold, such as immediately after heating the liquid.

QUICK-WASH FEATURE FOR DISHWASHER APPLIANCE
A dishwasher appliance including a quick-wash feature. A secondary door attached is attached to a main door and forms a quick-wash compartment. A quick-wash assembly provides fluid for cleaning. Articles may be supported on the secondary door during cleaning or may be manually supported by the user at the quick-wash assembly. Various modes of operation may be used for cleaning including wash and rinse functions.

A dishwashing appliance includes a tub defining a wash chamber, a pump configured to deliver a liquid into the wash chamber, a spray assembly provided within the wash chamber, conduit in fluid communication with the spray assembly, a rack slidably provided within the wash chamber, container attached to the rack and in fluid communication with the conduit, and a controller in communication with the pump and the spray assembly. The controller is configured to perform a series of operations, including determining that a cooking operation has been input to the dishwashing appliance, activating the pump to supply the liquid to the container at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined amount of time such that an amount of liquid within the container is above a first predetermined amount, and deactivating the pump after the predetermined amount of time.
SECURE REMOTE TESTING OF HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES
Household appliances and methods of testing are provided. The household appliance includes a mechanical component and a controller in operative communication with the mechanical component. The controller has a partitioned memory. The partitioned memory includes a testing partition and a control partition. The controller is configured for and/or the method includes authorizing a user of the household appliance and verifying a personality of the a household appliance. Testing software is loaded into the testing partition of the memory of the controller. The testing software is executed from the testing partition, whereby the mechanical component of the household appliance is operated. The method also includes and/or the controller is also configured for exiting remote testing mode after executing the testing software and deleting the testing software from the partitioned memory when exiting the remote testing mode.
