A nozzle arrangement faces a surface to be cleaned includes a first suction body and a second suction body located at a distance relative to each other. The nozzle arrangement further includes a level setting mechanism that puts the first suction body and the second suction body at different overall levels relative to the surface in a normal, operational orientation of the nozzle arrangement on the surface. In this way, cleaning performance of the nozzle arrangement can be improved. Additionally, or alternatively, it is possible to have a suction enhancing mechanism for at least partially closing at least one of the first suction body and the second suction body to one of the surface and an internal air conduit of the nozzle arrangement.

Systems and methods for providing a vacuum cleaner with sliding vacuum head assembly. The vacuum head assembly comprises, for example, a vacuum motor, a dust bin, and a fan. The vacuum clean is configured for cleaning high and low surfaces based on a position of the vacuum head assembly along the vacuum tube.

A cleaner head for a cleaning appliance including a housing having a front side, a rear side, and first and second sides which extend between the front side and the rear side, the housing further including a floor facing surface which extends between the front side, rear side and first and second sides which, in use, faces a surface to be cleaned. A docking station for a mobile cleaning robot can include a housing. The housing can define or comprise a pad receptacle and a pad dispenser. The pad receptacle can be configured to receive a soiled pad from a pad tray of the mobile cleaning robot. The pad dispenser can be configured to provide a fresh pad to the pad tray of the mobile cleaning robot.

A universal accessory for a plurality of vacuums comprises a hair trapping device, a square frame of telescoping tubes attaching to the vacuum, and a floor cleaning device. The universal accessory can be used to trap hair to prevent hair trapping in the vacuum brush roller. The universal accessory can also be used to enhance floor cleaning by picking up dirt that the vacuum has not picked up.

A cleaning machine is provided, including at least one cleaning roller, a roller housing having a roller receptacle for the at least one cleaning roller, wherein the at least one cleaning roller is exchangeably positioned on the roller housing and the roller receptacle has an opening to the outside, a lid for closing the opening, and a locking device for fixing the lid to the roller housing, wherein at least one convex holding body is arranged on the roller housing, in that a pivotable bracket is arranged on the lid, in that at least one receptacle for the at least one holding body is arranged on the pivotable bracket, and wherein a release position of the pivotable bracket, the at least one holding body can dip into and/or exit the associated receptacle, and in a locking position, an exit of the holding body from the associated receptacle is blocked.

A surface cleaning apparatus is disclosed having a forward portion and a rearward portion. The forward portion has a dirty air inlet, a front side, a rear side and a forward bridging section, the forward bridging section having a rearwardly extending air flow passage that is downstream from the dirty air inlet. The rearward portion positioned rearward of the forward portion, the rearward portion comprising a front side, a rearward side, a rearward bridging section, a lower planar surface, an upper surface and an up flow duct, the rearward bridging section being spaced rearward of the front side of the rearward portion. The rear side of the forward portion is spaced from and faces the front side of the rearward portion and the forward bridging section is connected to the rearward bridging section.

A surface cleaning head with dual rotating agitators (e.g., a leading roller and a brush roll) may be used to facilitate capturing of debris in the air flow into a suction conduit on the underside of the surface cleaning head. The leading roller is generally positioned adjacent to and in advance of the opening of the suction conduit. The rotating brush roll may be located in the suction conduit with the leading roller located in front of and spaced from the brush roll, forming an inter-roller air passageway therebetween. The leading roller may provide a softer cleaning element than the brush roll and may also have an outside diameter that is less than the outside diameter of the brush roll. The surface cleaning head may also include debriding protrusions contacting the leading roller and/or a leading bumper that extends in front of the leading roller.

A vacuum cleaner attachment generally includes a cleaning element that floats relative to a suction conduit of the vacuum cleaner attachment. The cleaning element is supported on a support structure that is movably coupled to a housing and is biased towards a floor, for example, as a result of the weight of the cleaning element support structure. The cleaning element may be permanently attached to the support structure or may be a removable or disposable pad or sheet attached to the support structure. The floating cleaning element may be supported between the suction conduit and one or more wheels of the vacuum cleaner attachment. The vacuum cleaner attachment may be removably attached to a vacuum cleaner, for example, to be used interchangeably with other surface cleaning heads.

A vacuum cleaner comprises a housing having a longitudinal axis. A motor-fan assembly is mounted in the housing and arranged to generate an airflow along an airflow path from a dirty air inlet to an air exhaust. A retractable nozzle defines the dirty air inlet and is moveably mounted on the housing. At least a portion of the retractable nozzle is arranged to move between a retracted configuration within the housing and a deployed configuration outside the housing. The portion of the retractable nozzle in the retracted configuration is aligned in a direction along the longitudinal axis and the portion of the retractable nozzle in the deployed configuration is aligned in a direction across the longitudinal axis.
