The method includes operating the vacuum cleaning appliance to suck in the air stream through the filter element; determining a first pressure reference value; measuring the pressure difference between the first and second pressure values; dedusting the filter element with the aid of the filter element cleaning device if the value of the pressure difference between the first and second pressure values reaches a first threshold value; determining a second pressure reference value after the end of the dedusting of the filter element; determining a difference value between the second and first pressure reference values; and dedusting the filter element if the difference value between the second and first pressure reference values reaches a second threshold value, or switching off the vacuum cleaning appliance if the difference value between the second and first pressure reference values reaches a third threshold value. The system comprises a housing reconfigurable relative to a bin between an operative configuration in which the housing is disposed upon the bin so that dirt separated from dirt-laden air can collect in the bin, and an idle configuration in which the housing is removed from the bin. The housing comprises an inlet for receiving dirt-laden air into the housing, an outlet via which cleaned air can exit the housing. The system further comprises first filtering means and second filtering means disposed within the housing, the first filtering means being positioned upstream of the second filtering means. The first and second filtering means comprises a filter medium configured to separate dirt from the dirt-laden air passing from the inlet to the outlet through the filter medium. The system further comprises filter cleaning means for removing dirt from the filter medium of the first filtering means when the housing is configured at least in the operative configuration.

Dust collector

A dust collector (1) is provided with a tank section (10) and a head section (20). The tank section (10) has a dust collection chamber (13) for containing dust. The head section (20) has a motor (23) and a dust collection fan (25). The dust collection chamber (13) has a cylindrical filter device (12) which, when air sucked in from the suction opening (11) flows through the filter device (12), separates dust from the air. A passage member (50) forms an air passage by which the outside air and a filter interior space (14) inside the filter device (12) are connected without having the filter device (12) therebetween. A cover body (60) closes the passage member (50) in an openable manner. The passage member (50) has first opening sections (53) facing the filter interior space (14) and located at different positions in the circumferential direction of the filter device (12).

Dust collector

A dust collector (1) is provided with a tank section (10) and a head section (20). The tank section (10) has a dust collection chamber (13) for containing dust. The head section (20) has a motor (23) and a dust collection fan (25). The dust collection chamber (13) has a cylindrical filter device (12) which, when air sucked in from the suction opening (11) flows through the filter device (12), separates dust from the air. A passage member (50) forms an air passage by which the outside air and a filter interior space (14) inside the filter device (12) are connected without having the filter device (12) therebetween. A cover body (60) closes the passage member (50) in an openable manner. The passage member (50) has first opening sections (53) facing the filter interior space (14) and located at different positions in the circumferential direction of the filter device (12).

A dust collecting device for a power tool, the dust collecting device having a lamella filter, a rotatable shaft and a lamella holder. In the collecting container of the dust collecting device, the lamellae of the filter can be set in an axial movement by a rotary movement of the shaft which is mediated by the lamella holder, which is interrupted when a first profile of the shaft and a second profile of the lamella holder are moved with respect to each other and are not in engagement with each other. This enables the lamellae to return to their original position, the return of the lamellae to this original position causing the lamellae to vibrate, which leads to the filter being cleaned. A power tool which can have a proposed dust collecting device, as well as a method for operating a power tool and for cleaning a filter is also provided.
