A method for influencing the device-typical sound emission of a cleaning device, wherein the cleaning device has a device housing and a cleaning mechanism for carrying out a cleaning activity on a surface to be cleaned, wherein the cleaning device emits device-typical sound while carrying out the cleaning activity, and wherein the device-typical sound is detected and analyzed with respect to at least one sound frequency contained therein. In order to adapt the soundscape of the cleaning device in such a way that a user can ascertain a proper functionality of the cleaning device, a displaceable section assigned to a flow channel of the cleaning device is displaced relative to the flow channel and/or the device housing in dependence on the analysis result until a characteristic sound frequency for the cleaning activity emitted by the cleaning mechanism has a defined amplitude.

A method for adjusting at least one parameter range of a device parameter of a floor treatment device for treating a surface. The parameter range is available on the floor treatment device and depends on a floor type of the surface to be treated. The parameter range comprises a defined scope of values of the device parameter selected by the user for the treatment of the surface. The user moves the floor treatment device over the surface to be treated during an adjustment process, wherein a limiting device parameter, which is dependent on the nature of the surface and upon its use for the treatment of the surface leads to a predefined fault, is automatically determined during the movement of the floor treatment device, and wherein the parameter range is automatically adjusted based on the determined limiting device parameter which defines a range end of the parameter range.

Disclosed are devices, systems and methods for air purification in an airflow tract of vacuum cleaners. In some aspects, an air purification system for a vacuum cleaner comprises an ultraviolet (UV) light unit disposed in a first location within the vacuum cleaner along an airflow pathway, configured to emit UV light at air containing particles including dust, dirt, and microbes while the air containing the particles is flowing in the airflow pathway where the UV light unit is disposed; and a particle filter unit disposed in a second location within the vacuum cleaner along the airflow pathway, the particle filter unit comprising one or both of a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter and an active carbon filter.

An automatic cleaning apparatus includes: a chassis; a front housing arranged at a front end of the chassis; and a sensing device capable sensing movement of the front housing and sending a signal to a control mainboard of the automatic cleaning apparatus when the front housing touches an obstacle and moves relative to the chassis. The sensing device includes a dust blocking member and a rocker arm that triggers the sensing device to send the signal. An AI apparatus and an operating method are provided, the AI apparatus includes a communication interface to receive 3D sensor data and bumper sensor data from a first cleaner, a processor to generate surrounding situation map data based on the 3D sensor data and the bumper sensor data, and a learning processor to generate learning data by labeling area classification data for representing whether the surrounding situation map data corresponds to the stuck area, and to train a stuck area classification model based on the learning data. The processor transmits the trained stuck area classification model to a second cleaner through the communication interface.
