Tools for implantation and extraction of artificial discs
A hand manipulated endoscopic medical device includes a body having a proximal end, which is hand manipulated, a distal end which includes a manipulator, a light emitting device at the distal end, an imaging device at the distal end. A tool for extracting an artificial lumbar disc from between a pair of vertebral plates includes a handle, a member for transmitting force, and a sharpened end, specially configured to be placed between the artificial disc and the vertebral plate. A tool for implanting or explanting a ball to or from an artificial lumbar disc includes a pinion shaft and a pinion shaft enclosure, with a tightening knob at the proximal end of the shaft enclosure and coupled to the pinion shaft, a pinion at the distal end of the pinion shaft, a grappling device at the pinion, and a pair of semi-circular rings.
FUTURE SHAPE ESTIMATION APPARATUS, INSERTION/REMOVAL SYSTEM, INSERTION/REMOVAL SUPPORT SYSTEM, FUTURE SHAPE ESTIMATION METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM NON-TRANSITORY STORING FUTURE SHAPE ESTIMATION PROGRAM
A future shape estimation apparatus includes an insertion section, a shape sensor and an insertion section future shape estimation circuit. The insertion section has flexibility and is to be inserted into an observation target object. The shape sensor detects a bending state of the insertion section and outputs a detection signal. The insertion section future shape estimation circuit estimates a future shape of the insertion section after a predetermined lapse of time based on information acquired from the detection signal output from the shape sensor, and outputs the future shape as future estimation shape information.
Collecting and Processing Medical Imagery
A system for capturing high definition surgical imagery comprising a first medical imaging system comprising a microscope and a high definition camera. The first medical imaging system configured to transmit both high definition video and single images to a second medical system. The second medical system comprising a special purpose computer. The special purpose computer comprising a hard drive encrypted using an algorithm selected from FIPS 140-2 Annex A. A color printer. A separate voice recognition device. A separate removable read-write encrypted digital memory. A mobile transport device wherein the mobile transport device contains all elements of the second medical system.
ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM
An endoscope system includes a video processor device that performs signal processing on an image, and an external device that is removably connected to the video processor device and can record light source correspondence information that corresponds to multiple light sources. The video processor device acquires light source correspondence information from the external device and performs signal processing that corresponds to the light source correspondence information.
MEDICAL BORESCOPES AND RELATED TIP ASSEMBLIES
Medical borescopes, such as laparoscopes. In some embodiments, a medical borescope may comprise a handle and a tube extending from the handle, which tube may be configured to reduce electromagnetic interference within the tube. The borescope may further comprise a tip assembly positioned at a distal end of the tube, which may comprise an image sensor configured to take images through the distal end of the tube. The borescope may further comprise a dongle comprising an image processor configured to receive image data from the image sensor. The dongle may be removably coupleable with the medical borescope such that the dongle can be coupled with a plurality of distinct medical borescopes.
PORTABLE MEDICAL PLATFORM SYSTEM OF AN ENDOSCOPE
The present invention relates to a portable medical platform system of an endoscope, which includes a camera head, a tube, a handle, and a portable main system. The camera head having light sources, a sensor, and an image signal processor is mounted in a distal end of the tube. The other proximal end of the tube is connected with the handle which has provided with several functional buttons thereon for electrically connecting with a control board to control actions of light sources and the camera head wherein the portable main system is also connected with the control board. By providing the control system on the handle with separated control board, the invention therefore obtains utility and improvement for a medical surgery.
Medical borescopes and related tip assemblies
Medical borescopes and related methods. In some embodiments, a medical borescope may comprise a handle and a tube extending from the handle. The tube may be partially, or wholly, defined by an at least substantially non-conductive material, such as a suitable plastic, ceramic, or other non-metallic material. The borescope may further comprise a tip assembly positioned at a distal end of the tube, which may comprise an image sensor configured to take images through the distal end of the tube.
Colposcopes, mammoscopes, and inserters having curved ends and associated methods
A colposcope includes an inserter including an elongated body defining an interior space and an image capture device configured to be selectively and slidably positioned within the interior space of the elongated body. The elongated body has a distal end portion and a proximal end portion. The distal end portion is substantially funnel shaped and has a distal end that includes first and second portions. The first portion includes a base at a first edge of the distal end, and the second portion includes a lip at a second edge of the distal end that is diametrically opposed from the first edge. The lip is positioned further from the proximal end portion than the base.
PRIORITIZATION OF THREE DIMENSIONAL DENTAL ELEMENTS
The present disclosure includes methods, systems, and devices for prioritization of three dimensional dental elements. One method for prioritizing three dimensional dental elements includes receiving a virtual initial dental data set (IDDS) of teeth having spatial information regarding the positions of a number of teeth in the virtual IDDS with respect to each other for presentation of the teeth in a virtual three dimensional space to be viewed on a user interface, setting prioritization values of a number of elements of one or more of the number of teeth, and prioritizing the number of elements to be selected by a user based upon their prioritization values.
