CAPSULE ENDOSCOPE
A capsule endoscope configured to be introduced into a subject is provided. The capsule endoscope includes: a magnetic switch configured to operate depending on a magnetic field externally applied; a first device including an inductor and configured to execute a predetermined function; a second device including no inductor and configured to execute a function different from that of the first device; and a controller configured to drive the second device without driving the first device when the magnetic field is applied to the magnetic switch.
POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM
An endoscope power supply system includes an endoscope including an imaging unit that images an object, a housing apparatus to which the endoscope is detachably connected, a plurality of power source units that are provided in the housing apparatus and configured to output electric power different from one another, switches each provided in an output stage of each of the power source units of the housing apparatus and formed of two FETs that are back-to-back connected, and a controller that is provided in the housing apparatus, selects a power source unit necessary to operate the endoscope from the power source units, and controls the switches to output electric power generated by the selected power source unit to the endoscope
IMAGING ELEMENT, ENDOSCOPE, ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM, AND TESTING METHOD
An imaging element includes: a pixel board including a light receiver including plural pixels, each pixel being configured to generate an imaging signal; a circuit board including a functional circuit, the pixel board being layered on the circuit board; plural wiring portions configured to electrically connect the pixel board and the circuit board to each other and electrically transmit signals between respective layers; a terminal provided on the circuit board, the terminal being electrically connected to each of the plural wiring portions, the terminal being configured to output the imaging signal to an outside of the terminal or receive an external signal from the outside of the terminal; and a switch configured to output, by selective switching, at least one of the imaging signal and an internal signal generated at the circuit board, to the terminal.
Rotatable and detachable electrical coupling point
A video endoscope that includes a handle with a housing and an interface portion rotatably mounted relative to the housing, and an elongate shaft with one or more electronic image sensors, wherein a proximal end section of the shaft is detachably connected to the interface portion of the handle, where the interface portion includes a first connector element electrically connected to an electric transmission element of the interface portion and the shaft includes a second connector element electrically connected to the one or more electronic image sensors, the first and second connector elements co-operating to form a detachable electrical connection, and where the handle includes an electrical connection assembly arranged at an exterior of the interface portion forming an electrical connection to at least one stationary electric and/or electronic component of the handle in a multiplicity of rotational positions of the interface portion relative to the housing.
Endoscopic instrument
This disclosure relates to instruments and methods of performing an endoscopy. An endoscope for producing images of a surgery in vivo may include a hub and an imaging rod extending from the hub, the imaging rod being configured to receive light and direct the light to an imaging sensor located adjacent to a distal end of the imaging rod, the hub and the imaging rod being attached to form an assembly having a center of mass established distally of the hub. In other implementations, the hub may be omitted.
CONTROL DEVICE, ENDOSCOPE, AND CONTROL METHOD
A control device includes: a power source configured to supply a predetermined power-supply voltage to an imaging element; a voltage detector configured to detect an output voltage value of the power-supply voltage supplied by the power source; and a processor comprising hardware, the processor being configured to supply an adjusted voltage value from the power source to the imaging element based on a voltage value of the power-supply voltage detected in the imaging element and on the output voltage value detected by the voltage detector, calculate a delay time from timing when the voltage value of the power-supply voltage is detected in the imaging element until timing when the power source supplies the adjusted voltage value to the imaging element, and control supply timing when the power source supplies the adjusted voltage value based on the delay time.
Endoscope Instrumentation Drive System
An instrument drive system configured to attach to an instrument channel of an endoscope assembly and manage a relative feed position of an instrument using two drive wheels and a device application in a controller. The instrument drive system is attached directly to the instrument channel of the endoscope assembly. operation of the instrument drive system is proximate to the endoscope assembly and an inputs-controls and a deflection control thereof.
Endoscope system and method of operating same
An endoscope system includes at least any one of a processor device that is attachable to and detachable from an endoscope or a light source device that is attachable to and detachable from the endoscope. In a case where the endoscope is mounted on the processor device or the light source device, the processor device or the light source device performs a request sequence in which a request signal, for requesting a start of execution of encoding processing with respect to digital image signals, is transmitted to the endoscope.
ENDOSCOPE CONNECTOR AND ENDOSCOPE ADAPTER
A system includes an endoscope connector and an endoscope adapter. The endoscope connector includes a first portion. The first portion includes a first magnetic coupling element and a first planar portion that is perpendicular to an axial direction of the endoscope connector. The endoscope adapter includes a second planar portion. The second planar portion includes a second magnetic coupling element and a substantially planar surface that is perpendicular to an axial direction of the endoscope adapter. The endoscope connector is non-mechanically attachable to the endoscope adapter using the first magnetic coupling element and the second magnetic coupling element. The first planar portion is alignable with the second planar portion such that: electroconductive contacts of the endoscope connector are axially aligned with electroconductive pins of the endoscope adapter and a port of the endoscope connector is axially aligned with a corresponding insertion port of the endoscope adapter.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING AND DISPLAYING VIDEO STREAMS
A method performed by a video controller. The method receives a first video stream captured by an endoscope of a surgical system, and receives a second video stream that comprises surgical data. The method displays the second video stream superimposed above an area of the first video stream, and determines that the second video stream is to cease being superimposed. Responsive to determining that the second video stream is to cease being superimposed, the method continues to display the first video stream.
