Disclosed are an endoscope host and an endoscope device for intelligently detecting organs including a main body having a connection channel for inserting an endoscope tube, and a drive connection part and an electrical connection identification part have first electrical connection points and second electrical connection point respectively. When the endoscope tube is inserted into the connection channel, the endoscope tube is electrically conducted with the first electrical connection point and the second electrical connection point to generate a driving signal and a type signal respectively. An organ identification unit is provided for storing an organ comparison table and comparing the type signal with the organ comparison table to obtain the organ type of the endoscope tube and generate an execution signal. A processing unit is installed in the main body for receiving the driving signal and the type signal and displaying a result image according to the execution signal.

Method of hub communication, processing, display, and cloud analytics

A method of displaying an operational parameter of a surgical system is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by a cloud computing system of the surgical system, first usage data, from a first subset of surgical hubs of the surgical system; receiving, by the cloud computing system, second usage data, from a second subset of surgical hubs of the surgical system; analyzing, by the cloud computing system, the first and the second usage data to correlate the first and the second usage data with surgical outcome data; determining, by the cloud computing system, based on the correlation, a recommended medical resource usage configuration; and displaying, on respective displays on the first and the second subset of surgical hubs, indications of the recommended medical resource usage configuration.

POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM

An endoscope power supply system includes an endoscope including an imaging unit that images an object, a housing apparatus to which the endoscope is detachably connected, a plurality of power source units that are provided in the housing apparatus and configured to output electric power different from one another, switches each provided in an output stage of each of the power source units of the housing apparatus and formed of two FETs that are back-to-back connected, and a controller that is provided in the housing apparatus, selects a power source unit necessary to operate the endoscope from the power source units, and controls the switches to output electric power generated by the selected power source unit to the endoscope

Medical devices for fluid delivery and related methods of use

A medical device may include an insertion portion longitudinally extending between a proximal end and a distal end. The insertion portion may define a channel extending therethrough. The medical device may further include a handle coupled to the proximal end of the insertion portion. The handle may further include an irrigation port in fluid communication with the channel and coupled to a source of irrigation fluid. Additionally, the handle may include an actuator and a pressurizer. Manipulation of the actuator may be configured to actuate the pressurizer to urge irrigation fluid distally through the channel.

Self-authenticating intravascular device and associated devices, systems, and methods

A method of authorizing a limited use intravascular device can include determining if the intravascular device is in communication with a clinical system; determining if the intravascular device is authorized for clinical operation without providing the clinical system access to intravascular device data stored on the intravascular device; and providing an authorization signal to the clinical system. An intravascular device can include a flexible elongate member including a sensing component at a distal portion and a connector at a proximal portion, the connector including: a memory component configured to store a parameter value; a processing component; and a charge storage component configured to power the memory component and/or the processing component; wherein the processing component is configured to determine if the flexible elongate member is authorized for clinical operation using the parameter value without providing the parameter value to a clinical system.

Articulating stylet

An articulating stylet usable with a tracheal intubation system is disclosed. Methods for using the articulating stylet and systems that incorporate the articulating stylet are also disclosed. In some examples, a stylet adapted for mounting an endotracheal tube comprises a shaft and a control wire. The shaft comprises a distal shaft portion, a proximal shaft portion, and an expanding connection joining the distal shaft portion to the proximal shaft portion. The proximal shaft portion has a body portion and a tip portion. The tip portion includes a tip and has greater flexibility than the body portion. The control wire is at least partially disposed within both the distal shaft portion and the proximal shaft portion and is configured to cause the tip portion of the proximal shaft portion to deform.

Endoscope and endoscope sheath with diagnostic and therapeutic interfaces

A removable and replaceable sheath may be coupled to a medical instrument used during a procedure, and may enable one or more functional features of the medical instrument while maintaining a sterile barrier between the instrument itself and the treatment site. The sheath may be replaced prior to a subsequent use, and sterilization of the medical instrument is not required due to the sterile barrier. Sheaths may include an embedded memory that stores procedure configurations and procedure results, longitudinal channels for delivering power or irrigation, optical elements for providing procedure specific endoscopic views, and other features. One sheath may be fitted to an endoscope for imaging and tissue ablation. Another sheath includes a balloon usable during sinuplasty procedures. Yet another sheath may be fitted to a sonic ablation instrument to provide improved transmission of sonic power to tissue.
