Electronic assemblies including a conformal moisture barrier
An electronic assembly includes a printed circuit board (“PCB”), an electrical component attached to a surface of the PCB, and a conformal barrier disposed on at least a portion of the surface of the PCB and on an outer surface of the electrical component. The conformal barrier includes a first barrier layer including an atomic layer deposited film and a second barrier layer including Parylene.
Instrument cap
The present disclosure relates to a cap for protecting an imaging instrument from damage caused by impact or poor handling. Exemplary devices can include a rigid outer shell and soft inner lining surrounding a distal tip of the instrument, to be applied between instrument use, and during instrument transport, disinfection, sterilization, and storage.
AEROSOL-SHIELDING ENDOSCOPY MOUTHPIECE
An aerosol-shielding endoscopy mouthpiece (AeroFree mouthpiece) is disclosed. The aerosol-shielding endoscopy mouthpiece includes a bite block part through which the endoscope passes and a mouth and nose-shielding part. Besides allowing for safe passage of the endoscope and respiration of the examinee, the bite block part includes a cover which is configured to mitigate splashing of aerosol and saliva through the orifice for endoscope passage during the endoscopic procedure. The mouth and nose-shielding part contains the bodily fluids and aerosols from the examinee's mouth and nose and reduces the risk of contamination at the time of removal and disposal.
FLUOROPHORE IMAGING DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR AN ENDOSCOPIC PROCEDURE
Fluorescent imaging systems for performing an endoscopic procedure, such as a retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) procedure may include a first light source for emitting light in the visible spectrum, or light in the near infrared (NIR) spectrum, or both. A light source bandpass filter may block the emitted light in the visible spectrum, or in the NIR spectrum, or both. A first sensor may be capable of detecting the light in the visible spectrum, or the light in the NIR spectrum, or both. A sensor bandpass filter may block the detected light in the visible spectrum, or in the NIR spectrum, or both. The first or a second light source, or the first or a second sensor, or combinations thereof, may be removably disposed on a duodenoscope.
Fluid collecting sheaths for endoscopic devices and systems
A system includes an endoscope defining a proximal end, a distal end and an elongated shaft extending between the proximal end and the distal end of the endoscope. A fluid collecting sheath defines a proximal end and a distal end. The fluid collecting sheath is configured for insertion into a vaginal opening. The fluid collecting sheath includes fluid collecting apertures defined at the distal end of the fluid collecting sheath. A fluid line is in fluid communication with the fluid collecting apertures. A channel is formed in the fluid collecting sheath. The channel extends between the proximal end and the distal end of the fluid collecting sheath. The channel defines an opening therein. The channel of the fluid collecting sheath is configured to operably engage the elongated shaft of the endoscope by passing the elongated shaft of the endoscope through the opening of the channel.
Endoscope
Provided is an endoscope that can connect proximal ends of the first signal lines and a signal relay part together without securing an extra length for the first signal lines. An airtight casing is disposed inside an outer tube of an insertion part, an imaging device and first signal lines are accommodated inside the airtight casing, a distal end of the airtight casing is airtightly sealed by a cover glass, and a proximal end of the airtight casing is airtightly sealed by a partition wall part. The airtight casing is constituted of a first tubular body and a second tubular body, and the second tubular body is disposed in a nested shape with respect to the first tubular body. During the connection between the proximal ends of the first signal lines and the terminal part, the second tubular body is advanced toward the first tubular body.
Systems and method for preventing air escape and maintaining air distension
A device for preventing air escape and maintaining colonic air distension can include a body, a distal gasket coupled to a distal end of the body, a proximal gasket coupled to a proximal end of the body, and a diaphragm coupled to the proximal gasket. The distal and proximal gaskets can form a fluid-tight seal with a colonoscope positioned within central bores of the distal gasket, the body, and the proximal gasket, and the diaphragm can conform to and form a fluid-tight seal with at least one of an anus and a stoma of a subject.
Biopsy cap and biopsy cap housing
The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical instruments. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a biopsy cap and endoscope biopsy cap housing with improved stability and stress distribution to securely and removably attach to an endoscope biopsy port. In one example, a biopsy cap housing may include a first center-split half comprising a first half of an upper and lower chamber and first pivot member, and a second center-split half comprising a second half of an upper and lower chamber, and second pivot member, wherein mating surfaces of the first and second center-split halves may be configured to interlock to define the upper and lower chambers.
System and method for treatment of gastroesophageal varices
The present disclosure relates to the field of endoscopy. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to delivery systems and methods for coagulating sites of bleeding within mucosal tissues, and in particular, for eradicating esophageal varices.
Tissue clip application fitting/retrofitting set
A tissue clip application fitting set or retrofitting set includes a cap attachment for placement on the distal head of a medical endoscope, which has a placement section and a tissue clip holding section. The cap attachment is notched at least at two angular positions forming at least two notches/slots/grooves. A working channel leads into the hollow chamber and exits the hollow chamber radially in a region distal to the placement section and proximal to the radially supported tissue clip. A first guiding or leading element is arranged after the working channel belonging to the retrofitting set, as seen in the distal direction. A corresponding second guiding or leading element is arranged within the hollow chamber at an angular distance from the first guiding or leading element so as to be oriented in extension to a working channel belonging to the endoscope.
