Device for assessing colon cleanliness

A colon cleanliness indicating device including a forward toilet-secured receiving section configured with a recessed receptacle for receiving colonic effluent and a rearward indicating section for indicating a degree of colon cleanliness. The indicating section is formed with one or more channels in fluid communication with the receptacle through which the received colonic effluent is flowable and by which the received colonic effluent can be visualized in order to assess a degree of colon cleanliness.

SAMPLE EXTRACTING, DILUTING AND DISCHARGING DEVICE

A tube for mixing, diluting and preserving a sample includes a hollow first container for receiving and storing a solution, the first container having first and second ends, wherein at least the first end has a through-hole, and a transport-pin located in the through-hole of the first end having a shape closely matching to the through-hole, the transport-pin including a recess with a predetermined size. The recess is suitable to be filled by a sample, wherein the transport-pin is movable between an initial position in which the recess is positioned at least partially on the outer side of the first container, and an end position in which the recess is positioned at least partially on the inner side of the first container.

BODILY FLUIDS SPECIMEN COLLECTION DEVICE

The invention is a bodily fluids sample collection device comprising a planar elastic elongated frame member and has frame sides concurrently angling inward to a cup securing region, thereby having an increasingly narrowing frame width to a semi-circular cup holding portion, adapted to securely receive a bodily fluids sample cup disposed in an upright position for receiving a bodily fluids sample from a patient, and flexibly adapted for easy placement and release of the bodily fluids sample cup. The toilet bowl or the toilet seat freely supports the device, and handles enables the patient to grasp the device without touching the toilet seat or the toilet bowl, and away from the sample cup of differing sizes. The device may have a collection handle, enabling the patient to grasp the device away from the bodily fluids sample cup.

Toilet with consumable material separating feces from bowl

A toilet is disclosed. The toilet has a bowl adapted to receive feces, a shelf for receiving feces in the bowl, a mechanism that places a consumable material on the shelf between uses of the toilet, and a removal mechanism for removing the feces and the consumable material from the bowl. The consumable material on the shelf is to separate feces from the shelf.

TOILET SYSTEM WITH SENSORS FOR MEASURING EXCRETION OUTPUT OF A USER

A toilet system comprising a bowl and an outlet, the toilet system being adapted for discerning between types of excretion excreted by a user of the toilet system, where the toilet system comprises at least one first sensor device configured to capture at least one signal indicative of a type of excretion excreted by a user of the toilet system, and at least one second sensor device configured to capture at least one signal indicative of a quantity of excretion excreted by a user of the toilet system.

EXCREMENT ANALYSIS APPARATUS, ANALYSIS SYSTEM, SERVER APPARATUS, ANALYSIS METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM

An excrement analysis apparatus includes an inputter, a memory, a first analyzer, and a second analyzer. The inputter inputs imaging data captured by an image capture apparatus installed in such a way as to include, in a capturing range, an excretion range of excrement in a toilet bowl of a toilet. The memory temporarily holds the imaging data input by the inputter. The first analyzer analyzes first analysis target data being the imaging data input by the inputter, and outputs notification information to an observer who observes a user of the toilet. The second analyzer analyzes second analysis target data being the imaging data that is input by the inputter and temporarily held by the memory, and outputs detailed information indicating a content of excretion.

FECAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Fecal management methods and apparatuses (e.g., devices, systems, etc.) are described herein. The fecal management apparatuses may apply one or more fecal removal cycles of suction and irrigation (and in some examples air) to actively remove fecal material. The apparatus may control the timing of delivery of the fecal removal cycles as well as the parameters of the applied suction, irrigation and/or air within and between fecal removal cycles.

METHOD OF SELECTING A TREATMENT FOR AN MS PATIENT

Methods for identifying MS in a subject based on an analysis of the strength of the immune-microbial homeostatic relationship based on the immune profile and the gut microbiome profile are described. In addition, methods of identifying MS patients likely to seek disease-modifying treatment within six months based on an analysis of the relative abundance of Barnesiella spp. based on the gut microbiome profile are described.

Toilet equipped to provide fecal analysis

A toilet is disclosed. The toilet has a bowl adapted to receive excreta, a shelf for receiving feces in the bowl, and one or more sensor for detecting a property of the feces. The property may be related to a user's heath and wellness and may be presented to a person for their review and assessment.
