HEALTH TESTING AND DIAGNOSTICS PLATFORM
Systems and methods for providing a universal platform for at-home health testing and diagnostics are provided herein. In particular, a health testing and diagnostic platform is provided to connect medical providers with patients and to generate a unique, private testing environment. In some embodiments, the testing environment may facilitate administration of a medical test to a patient with the guidance of a proctor. In some embodiments, the patient may be provided with step-by-step instructions for test administration by the proctor within a testing environment. The platform may display unique, dynamic testing interfaces to the patient and proctor to ensure proper testing protocols and accurate test result verification.
SAMPLE ENCAPSULATION SYSTEM
A method for sample encapsulation. A first sampling swab is provided that includes an absorbent portion and a fluid control portion that extends from the absorbent portion. The absorbent portion is proximate a proximal end of the first sampling swab. The fluid control portion is proximate a distal end of the first sampling swab. A sample is collected with the absorbent portion. At least a portion of the sample is liquid. An encapsulation material is provided that includes a first web and a second web. The first sampling swab is positioned between the first web and the second web. The first web is urged into contact with the second web proximate the absorbent portion. The urging of the first web into contact with the second web proximate the absorbent portion causes liquid to move from the absorbent portion towards the fluid control portion. The urging of the first web into contact with the second web proximate the absorbent portion is discontinued which causes the liquid to be drawn into the absorbent portion. The first web is urged into contact with the second web proximate the distal end of the first sampling swab to encapsulate the liquid in the encapsulation material.

A wearable body composition analyzer according to various embodiments of the present disclosure may include an induction part for inducing secretion of bodily liquid while being in contact with a body part, a collection part that collects the bodily liquid secreted, a sensor part that detects a body composition from the bodily liquid collected, and a wearable part to which the induction part and the collection part is detachably attached, wherein the wearable part may be worn on a body. The above-described wearable body composition analyzer may be implemented variously according to embodiments.

A device for measuring the turbidity of cerebrospinal fluid includes, a source of a light signal comprising having one or more wavelength(s), such that at least part of the emitted light signal passes through the cerebrospinal fluid; a flow element including an inlet and an outlet, the flow element being suitable for allowing cerebrospinal fluid to flow between the inlet and the outlet; an opaque element, arranged to absorb at least part of the emitted light signal after it has passed through the cerebrospinal fluid, and to allow another part of the emitted light signal to be reflected after it has passed through the cerebrospinal fluid; and an optical detector configured to detect the light signal after it has passed through the cerebrospinal fluid.
A METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RESPIRATORY SECRETION COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
The invention relates to a respiratory secretion sample collection device that includes a collection reservoir for directly receiving a sample of a respiratory secretion, a displacement member for insertion into the collection reservoir and displacing the sample within the collection reservoir, a container of a diluent for fluid communication with the sample for mixing the diluent with the sample, and an outlet for discharging the mixture of the diluent and the sample to an assay device. In embodiments, the precise volumes of the sample and the diluent are effectively mixed to enable the conduct of assays for which the relative concentration of diluent and sample is critical.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR HYBRID OVERSIGHT OF SAMPLE COLLECTION
Methods for obtaining a sample from a subject include providing a sample collection room. Samples may be small, e.g., a finger-stick. A method is provided for sample collection comprising: obtaining, in a sample collection room, a sample from said body part of said subject; monitoring activity in the sample collection room using at least two motion capture devices positioned to view a field of interest in the sample collection room; and alerting a technician performing the sample collection if a non-conforming action by the technician is detected by at least one of the motion capture devices.
DEVICE FOR ASSAYING ANALYTES IN BODILY FLUIDS
A device for determining the presence and/or quantity of one or more analytes in a sample of human body fluid has a container for receiving a sample of body fluid, with an interior that is delimited by a base and by a circumferential surface. It further comprises at least one test strip and a holding element for receiving and holding the one or more test strips. The holding element is designed such that it has a shape corresponding and adapted to the peripheral circumferential surface of the container. The device further comprises an elongate sampling element having an absorbent sampler that takes up the sample of body fluid and by means of which the sample of body fluid is transferred into the container. The sampling element can include an indicator strip for determining whether the amount of liquid sample sufficient for carrying out an assay.

Device for the in-vivo and/or in-vitro enrichment of target structures in a sample liquid, including at least one functional portion, which is provided with receptors for enriching the target structures. In order to improve the enrichment of the target structures in the sample liquid, it is provided according to the invention that the functional portion has a helical shape, which is produced by twisting a symmetrical starting cross section about a twisting axis. The invention likewise discloses a method for producing this device.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING AND/OR RECEIVING FLUID
The present invention generally relates to collecting, determining and/or transmitting information associated with the process of receiving bodily fluid through a device opening and/or delivering substances to a subject. In one aspect, the device includes an information collecting portion and a fluid receiving portion. In another aspect, the two portions are constructed and designed to attach to one another. In one embodiment, actuation of one of the portions causes the other portion to actuate. Methods of time keeping and information transmission are also discussed.

A secure specimen sample bottle includes a base container for receiving a specimen. The base container has a plurality of locking protrusions formed along an inner surface of the base receptacle. A bottle includes a lock ring that has an upright spire structure that has a closed top end and the opposing open bottom end including a plurality of flexible fins that are configured to interlockingly mate with the locking protrusions so as to prevent removal of the lock ring relative to the base container upon engagement of the flexible fins to the locking protrusions. A removable cap is coupled to the lock ring.
