COPPER-NIOBIUM ALLOY FOR MEDICAL BIOPSY PUNCTURE NEEDLE
The present disclosure discloses a copper-niobium alloy for a medical biopsy puncture needle. A needle core and/or needle tube of the puncture needle are/is made of the copper-niobium alloy. The copper-chromium alloy includes the following components by mass: 5≤Nb≤15 and the balance of Cu. According to the present disclosure, a copper alloy with designed components is obtained by combining a diamagnetic material Cu with paramagnetic Nb, and compared with existing medical stainless steel and titanium alloy, the copper alloy has greatly reduced magnetic susceptibility, and specifically, the artifact area and volume are also significantly reduced. In addition, the blank of use of the copper alloy in medical biopsy paracentesis is filled.
ENERGIZED CORERS WITH POWERED CONVEYING
An electrosurgical device including an elongated body extending from a proximal portion to a distal portion and defining an internal passageway configured to convey tissue from the distal portion to the proximal portion; a coring electrode at the distal portion of the elongated body, where the coring electrode is positioned at an opening to the internal passageway, and where the coring electrode is configured to deliver electromagnetic energy to adjacent tissue to cut a volume of the tissue as the tissue is conveyed into the internal passageway; and a powered conveyance mechanism positioned within the internal passageway configured to further cut the volume of the tissue and convey the volume of the tissue proximally within the internal passageway.
BIOPSY DEVICE CANNULA SEALS
A biopsy device includes an elongated housing having a manifold, an outer cannula partially and slidably disposed in the manifold, and an inner cannula partially and slidably disposed in a lumen of the outer cannula. The biopsy device further includes an outer cannula seal disposed between the manifold and the outer cannula, the outer cannula seal including an interference ring portion disposed adjacent an inner surface of the manifold, a beaded ring portion that contacts an outer surface of the outer cannula, and a flexible portion extending between the interference ring portion and the beaded ring portion.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REMOVING TISSUE FROM A BODY
Disclosed embodiments provide an apparatus and method of removing tissue from a body of a human or non-human animal. The disclosed embodiments includes a tool that may have a cutting edge to drill into tissue. The tool has magnetizable segments, which may be translated or rotated by an applied magnetic field
Tissue handling system with reduced operator exposure
A tissue handling system includes a biopsy device and a tissue storage container separate from the biopsy device. The biopsy device has a cutting cannula, a housing, and a tissue collecting device. The tissue collecting device is detachably received in the housing. The tissue collecting device is configured to receive at least one tissue sample. The tissue storage container is configured to detachably receive the tissue collecting device after the tissue collecting device is disengaged from the housing of the biopsy device to deliver the at least one tissue sample from the tissue collecting device to the tissue storage container.
BIOPSY NEEDLE SET WITH DEFLECTION REDUCTION FEATURES FOR IMPROVED TARGETING
A biopsy needle set that includes an outer cannula and a core collector that slides therein and includes a cradle that has a trough-shaped open space formed between a keel and two rows of teeth rising from lateral ends of the keel. The cradle has an outer surface that conforms closely to the cannula's inside wall such that when the cradle partly extends distally from the cannula the outer surface of the cradle bears against the cannula's inside wall to thereby resist bending of the core collector's portion that extends distally from the cannula
MICROBIOPSY DEVICE
An improved microbiopsy needle tip is described. The improvement is attributable to the presence of one or more combinations of features, including the use of a Franseen-type needle cutting tip, the provision of a “step-out” in which the collection portion of the biopsy device has a larger diameter than the procuring portion of the device, frictional force on the core of tissue exerted by the distal portion of the needle, which force is provided by the diameter of the distal collection portion of the device having substantially the same diameter as that of the procured core of tissue, the mechanical effects of scaling the needle to small dimensions; and the use of a needle that can be curved to as to sample multiple biopsy sites in close proximity without retracting the needle from the patient.
Device and method for creating a channel in soft tissue
Medical devices and methods for removing a predetermined shape of soft tissue from a target tissue layer, thereby leaving a matching channel with predetermined geometry and orientation in the target tissue layer, are described. The medical device comprises coaxial outer and inner elongated members extending along axis X; said outer member comprises an open distal side and a first distal part configured for sticking to said target tissue layer during forward axial movement; said inner member comprises a second distal part configured to rotate and project distally through said open distal side to cut said predetermined shape of the soft tissue from the target tissue layer and create said channel formed as a hole across the target tissue layer.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CUTTING BREAST SPECIMEN
The present invention relates to a device for incising a breast specimen, comprising: a fixing unit of which a portion is inserted into an incision window and which fixes a breast specimen to correspond to the entire size of the breast specimen; an incising unit for incising the fixed breast specimen; and an incising control unit adjusting the position and the incising angle of the incising unit.
Sampling device for storing at least one sample of animal tissue, corresponding method for collecting and system for identifying an animal
A sampling device adapted to cooperate with a sampling member subsequent to collection of a sample of animal tissue. The sampling device includes: a receiving tube designed for receiving the sample of animal tissue, containing at least one specific agent and comprising an inlet; a tube head removably attached to the inlet of the receiving tube and provided with a through channel ending in the receiving tube; a closing element configured to take at least two positions: a first position, in which the closing element is held into the tube head so as to plug the through channel of the tube head, and a second position, in which the closing element is released into the receiving tube.
