The present invention provides an apparatus for detecting the presence or absence of an analyte in liquid sample, including: a collection chamber, including an opening for collecting a liquid sample; a testing element for testing the analyte in liquid sample; and a cover for covering the opening of the collection chamber; wherein the apparatus further includes a prompting device for prompting if the cover is covered to a specified location, and the prompting device shall at least includes a first element and a second element, the first element is in contact with the second element, wherein one element vibrates to produce a sound. In some preferred ways, the second element produces friction with the first element, to cause one of the elements to generate vibrations. The apparatus in the present invention can allow the prompting sound to be clear and loud.

Saliva testing system

A method for using saliva to measure at least one substance or physiological parameter of a human or animal subject may involve inserting a first end of a sensor into a handheld saliva testing device. The method may also involve receiving saliva from the subject on a second end of the sensor, moving the saliva from the second end of the sensor to the first end, and processing the saliva with the handheld saliva testing device to provide initial saliva data related to the at least one substance or physiological parameter of the subject. In some embodiments, the sensor remains inserted in the handheld device while the subject deposits saliva on the opposite, free end of the sensor.

On-diaper body fluid screening device and associated method

An on-diaper body fluid screening device (100), comprising a stack of the following sheets: a surface sheet (110) permeable to body fluid, a collection sheet (120) impervious to body fluid, a testing sheet (130), which is body fluid absorbent and provided with colorimetric assay reaction pads (131), and which is provided with a body fluid barrier network (132) forming body fluid channels (134) between an inlet section (135) and the colorimetric assay reaction pads (131), a protection sheet (140) impervious to body fluid, and a transparent readout sheet (150), through which the assay reaction pads (131) are visible. The protection sheet (140) comprises pad receiving openings (142). The collection sheet (120) comprises an inlet hole (125) which is arranged over the inlet section (135). A swelling component (702) is arranged in association with the inlet hole (125) and an inlet hole closing member (601).

Disclosed are methods for detecting remnant cancer cells in a tissue sample.

Device and a method for testing a biological sample, preferably semen

A device for testing the quality of a biological sample, preferably semen, in cooperation with an electronic apparatus, the device comprising; a slide slot adapted for receiving a slide containing a biological sample; a receiving surface adapted for receiving an electronic apparatus containing a camera, where the receiving surface comprises a through hole extending through said receiving surface; a light source arranged opposite the through hole; a lens arranged between the slide slot and the receiving surface, and adapted to magnify the image received at the receiving surface; where the slide slot is arranged between the light source and the through hole, the device further comprising a housing attached opposite the receiving surface, the housing having a shape allowing for a plurality of stable resting conditions in which the electronic apparatus lies on the receiving surface, and alignment between the camera and the through hole is maintained by friction.

BODILY EMISSION ANALYSIS
20230200788 · 2023-06-29 ·

Apparatus and methods are described for use with a bodily emission of a subject that is disposed within a toilet bowl. While the bodily emission is disposed within the toilet bowl, light is received from the toilet bowl using one or more light sensors. Using a computer processor, intensities of at least two spectral bands that are within a range of 530 nm to 785 nm are determined, by analyzing the received light, and a ratio of the intensities of the two spectral bands is determined. In response thereto, the computer processor determines that there is a presence of blood within the bodily emission. The computer processor generates an output on an output device, at least partially in response thereto. Other applications are also described.
